Stuck with a old radio? Dont want or can't unlock/relock? Flash from SD!
Rename the RUU_signed.nbh to TITAIMG.nbh from the RUU_TITAN_SPRINT_WWE_3.35.651.2_RS_TITAN_3.35.04_4 350H_SPCS_AM_Ship.exe (http://download.america.htc.com/RUU_...CS_AM_Ship.exe) you can extract the contents with WINRAR (http://www.rarlab.com/rar/wrar371.exe)
Then put it on a, mine was a 2GB, memory stick formated in FAT32 Soft reset while holding power and camera to boot to oli, mine was 2.40, while the memory stick is in the phone It will load TITAIMG.nbh and ask for you to hit power to start to flash the phone. After your done flashing it will say UPDATE SUCCESS. Take out the memory stick and hit the soft reset button. You should have the most updated radio and the stock sprint software. Don't even bother booting to the crappy sprint stuff just go ahead and find your choice of ROM, I used ftp://up.ppcgeeks.com/Titan/Users/No...ild%205060.rar, and rename the RUU_signed.nbh file to TITAIMG.nbh and do the steps above. After you've updated to your new OS be sure to HARD RESET to install the custom OS over the STOCK OS!!!!!! Enjoy!, you just skipped that whole unlocking/re locking/possibly bricking your phone. If you have any problems with your phone not working due to the MSID being incorrect I've learned that if you press TALK then put ##778# and hit edit then put your unlock code which Sprint will be more then happy to give you if you tell them your upgrading your PDA to the latest software you need to change your MSID to your ORIGONAL telephone number and your Mobile Directory Number to your current phone number in NAM Settings, save and reset. -xboxexpert Last edited by xboxexpert; 04-29-2008 at 04:38 PM. |

Re: Stuck with a old radio? Dont want to unlock/relock? READ ME
Unfortunately, this method will not help someone with a pre-GPS ROM and bootloader upgrade to 3.35. The only reason it worked for you is that you had already unlocked your phone by installing the Olipro 2.40 hard-SPL unlocked bootloader. A device with a stock bootloader will probably fail to flash this way at all. It is also misleading, in that a phone with the old Olipro 1.20 unlocker that is upgraded this way will have problems booting up and will have to be reflashed back to a pre-GPS ROM and radio in order to have the Olipro 2.40 installed.
edit: maybe a little picky, but the Titan does not accept Memory Stick media. That is a microSD card. Last edited by bakntyme; 04-29-2008 at 06:09 PM. |

and...while you are at it...might mention sdhc cards are known NOT to work for flashing with this method.
