Re: DCD 3.0.1 Kitchen for new BuildOS.

I am still getting the error about the HTC Sliding Sound module not being found. This is after downloading the latest fixed rar from the link in the xda-developers thread and renaming the file by deleting the "_FIXED" postfix. Am I missing a more recent update or other patch to the BuildOS program I need to make? Or can I just ignore this and still be able to include this module?

Just un-rar the downloaded OEMs in the kitchen, and drop the ones you want into DCD's OEm folder. Then, when you run the DCD kitchen, they will show up as choices. All those I've used run correctly except for the audio progarams HTC audio manager and TCMCP. There must be some conflict with the DCD audio settings.

Well, to my limited understanding, sure it does, and posts 16 and 18 are cases in point. There are defaulted selections in DCD which conflict with the defaulted and non-defaulted selections in the 5060 build for the kitchen (I only mentioned no2chem because I believe 5060 is his- not criticizing at all), and vice versa. So, when you start selecting, conflicts are sure to occur, and not everyone (myself including) has the time or knowledge to sort them out. On the other hand, dropping a few OEMs into DCD was easier for me, and might be for others. Not being critical or looking for a debate, just giving an option from a casual user.

Cheers.

Re: DCD 3.0.1 Kitchen for new BuildOS.

In trying to flash from the 5060 rom to 3.0.4, I have been able to create the rom, flash it my phone and gets to the point where you are to tap your screen to go through the screen align, etc. From some reason, I have found that my touch screen does not work. I have gone through the kitchen and built a few more versions of the rom, and even dropped in the skip welcome screen in the OEM folder. Even with that, I get to my today screen and my touch screen still does not work. Keyboard and buttons on my phone still work. Once I flashed back to 5060, I have had no problems with my touchscreen.

I would like to get the rom installed. Has anyone else had this problem? Anyone know of any conflicts that would cause this?

Thanks in advance.

Try installing the DCD again, but when your done flashing it, take out the battery and wait 5 secs, then do a hard reset.... should work....

Re: DCD 3.0.1 Kitchen for new BuildOS.

When I flash, I do typically take the battery out after the flash ... then hard reset, but in this case, it still does not make a difference. After the hard reset, It will get past the second splash screen will boot all the way to my today screen if I drop "skip welcome" into the OEM folder. Once at the today screen, the buttons on the phone work and I can navigate through using the buttons and scroll wheel. The touch screen just does not respond though. I thought it could be a hardware issue, but once I went back to the rom I have been using, the touch screen works.

I have never come across this issue before. If there are any other suggestions, I would really appreciate it.

Re: DCD 3.0.1 Kitchen for new BuildOS.

I suspect possibly a corruption in the download of the DCD kitchen file, try re-downloading and make another ROM with it. If that fails, reply here, and I will PM you... ok

Re: DCD 3.0.1 Kitchen for new BuildOS.

I appreciate your help. I tried it again and it did the same thing. I have noticed that the alignment has been a bit off. I am going to take the phone in and get it exchanged. I will then try it again. Time to take it back to stock.

The sliding sounds module is included in the DCD OEM's folder it shows up as a selectable option in the ppckitchen. Just select it and it should work.

When you select TCPMP you shouldn't get any problems with it. I haven't but then again i use TCPMP OEM im my user OEM's that i got from Alex's packages over at XDA

You cant use defaulted selection's that are in NO2CHEM's ROM with a DCD ROM, they are 2 totally different builds so you will get errors. You can use no2chems nutools in a DCD ROM and you shouldn't have a problem with those. I use them all the time.
