Exclamation Mogel on Verizon-How to get EVDO to work?

I have a Mogel (PPC6800) that I made work on Verizon (thanks to many fine posters here).
I convinced the techs to add my ESN but they say the data won't ever work. I know that someone here, that is smarter than I am, will be able to prove them wrong. I have copied everything that is editable from my XV6700 into the EX-Mogel now XV6800 but it still doesn't work yet.

Please someone with some smarts guide me to what needs to be done. It looks like the following items MAY be what is keeping me from being able to access it:

* The NAI is blank on the M.IP Customer Profile 1 screen.
*I don't know what to put in the HDR AN AUTH Password Location (the contents are scrambled)
*On M.IP Default Profile, the DUN NAI info is blank.
* On M.IP Default Profile, the HA Shared secret is :Secret and the AAA shared Secret is: scrambled text.
*On all the other screens, the HA shared Secret and the AAA shared secret is blank.

Other than these unknowns (unknown because I don't know if any of these are important) Everything looks the same as my XV6700.

hopefully, someone will know these answers and can help all of us move the cheaper Mogels to Verizon. I say cheaper because Mogels are $150 - $225 less than XV6800s on Ebay.

Other post shows exactly how to move the voice portion of the phone over with relative ease but the DATA?????

Thanks

Re: Mogel on Verizon-How to get EVDO to work?

Did you ever flash it w/ the stock verizon rom and let the verizon custmizations run first? There are some deeper settings that get changed by doing that. after that I can tell you are on the right road. I had problems after flashing my xv6800 to the new Sprint rom. The only way I could get everything to work right on vzw was to re-flash the 'stock verizon rom'. I made posts about my tribulations both here and at xda. Good luck, you'll get it!

Re: Mogel on Verizon-How to get EVDO to work?

Thanks, I 'll try that next although, I have read that people are bricking their phones when they downgrade radios/ROMs. I now have the Sprint 3.35 ROM with a custom ROM after config'd for Verizon.

Have you heard if the stock Verizon ROM has this problem?

Re: Mogel on Verizon-How to get EVDO to work?

I have not heard one way or another, however if you find my post, and files I did exactly as I posted w/ no problem and the files are intact on a fileshare network so no confusion about if it's the right files or not.

search for 'stock verizon rom'

I will try to post a link later from my desktop if you don't find it by then...

Follow this thread to start out with a stock 6800.

I have used this thread 4x on upgraded 6800s with no issues at all.

Re: Mogel on Verizon-How to get EVDO to work?

OK, I did all that, now my phone says Sprint PCS and when I dial *288, I get the sprint messages whereas before I would get the Verizon messages. Am I back to the Mogel now instead of the Verizon that I wanted? And if so, how do I get back to Verizon XV6800 and not get trapped in the same circle of problems?

Re: Mogel on Verizon-How to get EVDO to work?

per my post I linked to:

"Run TitanUnlocker.exe from first folder

FOLOW THE ON SCREEN DIRECTIONS EXACTLY

INCLUDING THE UNPLUGING AND PLUGING BACK IN PART

Be patient and be sure that it is complete.

Then without disconecting, or restarting your device
go to the second directory and folow these directions...

While stil in bootloader mode run ROMUpdateUtility.exe

Follow the onsreen directions.

When your device boots up - LET THE VERIZON CUSTOMIZATIONS RUN.

Enjoy being back on Verizons service."

Then, DO NOT LET THE SPRINT CUSTOMIZATION RUN when flashing up to the newer radio... If you do let them run you will have to do it all over again.

Re: Mogel on Verizon-How to get EVDO to work?

Hello Nuguy,

I did run just like your post and let the VERIZON customizations run and just stopped there. Thats when I was back to Sprint. You would think that the Verizon Cust. would make it Verizon? But it is Sprinted. So now are you saying to unlock and follow your post about the stock Verizon ROM or are you telling me to go to a different post about converting Sprint to Verizon?

Remember, My phone originally was a Sprint that I converted to Verizon, if I look into the EPST, it now says Sprint PCS for NAM Name etc. Using postings I read here, I had converted this phone but now all is back like Sprint had it. Is there a way to block it out so it never happens again?

Thanks Again.
