Windows Mobile 6.1 Upgrade
Here's a clip
Software Upgrades Available on HTC Devices In partnership with Microsoft and key mobile operator partners, HTC will continue to extend the functionality of many current HTC devices both in the United States and abroad by providing Windows Mobile 6.1 updates. Windows Mobile 6.1, an update to Windows Mobile 6, provides new timesaving features, easier phone navigation and management, stronger security safeguards, and support for Microsoft System Center Mobile Device Manager 2008. Some of HTC’s most popular smartphones including the Touch by HTC and Mogul by HTC from Sprint, AT&T Tilt, Alltel Wireless’ HTC Touch and PPC6800, and the HTC TyTN II, will be among the first of many devices available for a Windows Mobile 6.1 upgrade. and a link to the article http://www.htc.com/us/press.aspx?id=41824&lang=1033 |

Re: Windows Mobile 6.1 Upgrade
I wish HTC would take the time to make our camera's work like the Vogue's software allows (but with a flash) and actually provide us with the drivers for our video before they put the time into giving us Windows Mobile 6.1. I'm definitely happy that they are doing this and in a short period of time from now, however I am disappointed that we have powerful hardware platforms with ridiculous software limitations. If it's a licensing thing for the video cards, I'd happily pay a reasonable amount to get the driver to pay for the license costs.

miketwalker I'm with you I would pay to get the video drivers. But it seems that it is everyones fault and no one will take the first step to make it happen.

As far as timeframe for release it does seem to be slated for 3Q of this year so between July and September. I personally don't mind the wait for the official as this is something that was never promised to us, unlike Rev.A and GPS (for sprint users at least.) So hopefully at the very least they get it right... |

Re: Windows Mobile 6.1 Upgrade
You do realize that you are talking about Microsoft, right? The company that puts out hot fixes to fix their own hot fixes? Don't get me wrong, I like Microsoft products, and use them pretty much exclusively at home and for certain at work. But I wouldn't get my hopes up that they "get it right"... or at least on their first attempt.
