Activation Issue after Update/Upgrade

I am hoping some of the experts here can shed some light. I purchased a Mogul about a week and a half ago that was running the "New" Sprint GPS ROM. Activated it with out issue. The Mogul was then unlocked using the process described here:

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=9093

Then flashed with the ROM "Black Pill VetVito Exclusive!" in the thread titled "VetVito's Aero Windows Mobile (6.1.1)"

Located here:

The phone worked flawlessly and had no issues afterward. I decided the phone wasn't for me and sold it this evening. When the new owner tried to activate it she was told by Sprint that the ESN had not been released from my account yet. I called them and complained, the escalated and 20 minutes later when she called they said the ESN was fine "lets go ahead and activate it"........ It was all down hill from there.... When Sprint had her enter the ##blah blah blah# number the phone did nothing. after a few attempts they said to take it to the retail store.... retail store looks at phone for 2 minutes and tells her the phone is bad.

I am confused, the phone worked fine for me after the ROM change.... now they say the phone is "Bad" but wont realy tell her what is "Bad"

I am open to any and all non-destructive suggestions..............

Thanks in advance,

AhChit
