BLUETOOTH HEADSET: Disconnects / Flakey with New ROM

On the 6800 / Titan / Mogul.

I am having frequent disconnects, and random voice command failures. I have a samsung h500 headset, and the New OFFICIAL Sprint Rom with VC 1.6.

Anyone else?

Travis

Mine is working fine. Had the official Sprint ROM and then the Kitchen. I'm using the Motorola S9 headset. I do notice with my headset that the RANGE of the BT connection is pretty small. The phone has to be within a few feet (about 5 ft) otherwise it can drop connection.

Re: BLUETOOTH HEADSET: Disconnects / Flakey with New ROM

Its always on my hip, no distance issues. I guess I should explain it better. The device rarely disconects, although it does, sometimes. What it does it seems is that the voice command process is failing, sometimes when the phone rings it will announce caller names, other times it wont, sometimes it will read text messages, sometimes it wont. I just want to know, could this not only be a software issue, since it is not disconnects or lack of push button functionality, but a flaw in the announce feature.

My path was this, stock to olipro / no2chem 6.1 rom, then back to 6.0 official Sprint, then installed VC then installed lennysh voicecmd fix and voicecommandreplacementfiles.cab from xdA.

buy a new headset, or keep f'n with the firmware?

thanks

Re: BLUETOOTH HEADSET: Disconnects / Flakey with New ROM

With the disconnects, I noticed that if I go into comm manager, the bluetooth is off, without a low battery, I can turn it right back on, but is a big annoyance. Anyone else?

Re: BLUETOOTH HEADSET: Disconnects / Flakey with New ROM

I think also, that the voice command failing may just be that the device was disconnected because of the bluetooth turning off.

Re: BLUETOOTH HEADSET: Disconnects / Flakey with New ROM

Well I can't seem to get my BlueAnt Z9 to pair with my 6800. I see No2Chem has posted his 5060 version ROM listing a BT Stack update (BTHCI: 3.14).
Perhaps that could fix some problems. Hopefully I'll be able to find a way to update the BT Stack without having to flash that ROM.

.... Actually, after some searching, I can't find any reference of this particular BT Stack update mentioned by No2Chem.

I beat up Sprint and all I have to show for it is this lousy
