Try flashing the device via bootloader mode also will bypass any checks the Sprint ROM may do.

Sounds like someone jumped into things without reading what he was getting into. Who is your Carrier? Did you write down your MDN, MIN, A-KEY????

Sprint is my carrier. I had wrote them down when i first loaded dcd 2.3.1, but can't find the paper. there was never an a-key on my phone. the esn hex looks the same from what i can remember but i dont remember the esn dec or msid. what should i do since i can't find them. should i just continue to use the phone since everything else is the same.

install the sprint rom. let the customizations run. use that rom for a day or so while you read up on everythin and then try flashing again to a custom rom
