Issues Flashing Sprint Mogul to Alltel

Good Evening Everyone,

I am trying to flash my "old" Mogul over to Alltel. I found the Alltel ROM on the HTC site and downloaded it, unlocked the phone and flashed the Alltel ROM. No real issues there.

The problem is that there seem to be "remnants" of the old Sprint configuration left in the phone.

For instance, in the EPST it shows SPCS as the NAM Name, along with various other settings that one would expect to find on a Sprint phone. In fact all of my info (MSID, etc) was still in there, however after running the "MSL Wizard" and updating the MSID, MDN, and SID to the new values) most of that corrected itself. I reflashed the ROM a second time after that which helped a little more.

The phone will make and recieve calls, however it constantly shows a roaming icon, only connects via 1x, and I can't access any over the air provisioning (i.e. *228 option 2 or 3).

Has anyone run into this before? It seems like I need a way to totally wipe the phone and start from scratch, but so far I haven't found anything that would indicate how to do that (I have done at least ten hard resets and have spent the last eight hours searching the forums).

Any help would be greatly appriciated!

Thanks and Happy Easter!

John

According to this post on xda-developers http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=365046 there is a 'master reset' that can be done (I have never done it) in the EPST menu. This apparently goes deeper than a regular hard reset and erases all your radio settings etc allowing you to 'start from scratch'. Hope this helps. Check post #7
