Did 3.35 improve BT Car Kit functionality?

I had a Mogul from Sprint for a month but returned it in part because it didn't work well at all with my Bluetooth Car Kit. I have a Parrot car kit.

The problems I had were:
phone caused kit to crash
couldn't initiate calls from kit
couldn't voice dial thru kit

My LG phone and Crackberry work great with the kit, but not the mogul.

I saw the ROM was supposed to fix problems with stereo head sets so I thought they might have met the standards and fixed other things as well.

Thanks

Re: Did 3.35 improve BT Car Kit functionality?

Im new to this forum. But just wanna mention that the new ROM update definitely fixed my bluetooth issue. Now Im liking my Mogul. Another great addition to the new ROM is that the Sprint Navigation worked with the internal GPS, so now I dont have to bother with an external Bluetooth GPS reciever. Beats carrying extra stuff around! Too bad the new ROM didnt come with SPRINT TV or MMS ( picture mail ). Oh well. But there are apps that fix the MMS. I don't know about the car kit, since I just have my Motorola H500. It never worked with old ROM, but now I have no issues when talking on it. Its worth trying!

Re: Did 3.35 improve BT Car Kit functionality?

I have had a Mogul since 2.08. Bluetooth has always worked with my Pioneer 980BT stereo. However, this seems to be the fastest pairing and best quality yet. I have been told it is like I am talking on a landline with my Mogul using the BT car stereo. My brother who also has a mogul says it sounds better using the BT car stereo than using the Mogul by itself.

However, I have no experience using the parrot kit. I honestly wouldnt want an "add-on" bluetooth setup like the parrot. I would want something integrated into my stereo. My Pioneer pauses my Ipod while I am on the phone...gotta love it.

Re: Did 3.35 improve BT Car Kit functionality?

I use my Mogul with a Pioneer DEH-7900BT receiver. I was able to use it prior to the new ROM, however I had some issues like the battery and signal meters not being accurate. After the update, the Mogul works great with the 7900 and I have yet to discover a problem with it.

I also use the Mogul with an AT&T EP56 home telephone system without any trouble at all. I had quite a few problems with my old Treo 755p, which is why I wanted to switch to the Mogul.

So from my perspective, the bluetooth works great!

Edit: The one thing I did have to tweak even after the new ROM update was the bluetooth audio settings in the registry. I had some high pitched sounds coming from my Pioneer unit when playing audio from the Mogul. However, the tweak is here on the forum and it was easy to do. Once I did that, audio is as good as a wired connection!

i was just gonna say jetwaremobile. That worked for my dvd player in my truck. It helps with a patch for windows based phones. And as of now i dont think they have a fix for MMS picture mail and probably wont for a long long long time....

For OP, I have the Parrot MK6100 and it works great with my Mogul - before and after the upgrade to 3.35. Let me know if you have specific questions.

Not for me ... BT appears to be a lot less stable, but I don't know if it is the Radio version, or the Kitchen ...
