If you have changed your ROM, put it back to the original. If you have the original, do a hard reset so it looks as if you have already attempted all possible options of resolving the error.

i am in the same boat... this sucks! we need a fix! tried the keyboard cab and nothing... im calling alltel tomorrow. this is bs!

has anyone tried the new official 3.56 ROM that was released within the last few days? I'm going to give it a go when i get home tonight and i'll post results if the key presses remain unchanged.

I actually tried it out last night. The threaded SMS seems a lot faster as far as sliding out the keyboard and the screen orientating and ready to type, but the extra key presses are STILL a problem.

However, this was resolved when I applied the CAB posted earlier, which is a previous keyboard driver.

I am using the old cab and it works, however I now have to press twice as hard on the "." key and the blue function key too.

Any alternative solutions? Thanks!

dcd new rom has an old keyboard driver that doesnt has this problem if you want to try.

Ugh... now my keyboard isn't only sending doubles, its not picking up on ALOT of the keys.
