Are you talking about the ear piece speaker or the speakerphone speaker? My 3 week old Mogal has a crackeling problem with the ear piece speaker. I'm thinking it is a hardware issue rather than software since it's been doing it since I got it.

It is the speakerphone speaker. It just started doing it after I installed the new official ROM. It seems to also do it when I slide the keyboard open.
