Re: Who is your favorite chef?

Can someone outline a brief description or like a pro/con list or major features of each? I'm only familiar with DCD and nueRom. Has colonol released a kitchen? Looks like one at his site. It's new, perhaps it isnt for the mogul. A lot of these guys may have a change log but no real feature lists. DCD's thread about his rom at XDA-Dev is one of the easiest to understand. From what I gather, nueROM is about the same but with some of his nueTools added.

Re: Who is your favorite chef?

There are too many chefs for me to say who is the best... so here are the ones I've used.

I started with DCD because I liked the kitchens and he also had great plug and play verizon ROMs. The skins and dialers look great out of the box and his ROMs are noob friendly.

Two things moved me away from DCD - I no longer need a kitchen or OEMs since UC works so well, and no2chem's ROMs have some extras and performance advantages. No2chem also worked out some issues that DCD was struggling with. I think no2chem is really an HTC engineer

Cool Re: Who is your favorite chef?

DCD & no2chem are 1 & 1a, both make great ROMS. Too close to call actually, I can't see anyone being disappointed with either.

Re: Who is your favorite chef?

Until 3.35 came out DCD and no2Chem were almost the same. I have not loaded any newer no2Chem roms but DCD's 3.0.1 kitchen is almost perfect. I see no reason to switch to anything else. My phone performs better right now than it ever has.

I know props go to no2Chem though as well cause he helped with alot with DCDs work.

Re: Who is your favorite chef?

I'm the kind of person that enjoys a loaded Rom. I've enjoyed using Nex's No2 based roms since I bought my 6800. He's good at listening if there's an issue. I haven't had any big issues with his roms and they all work great. They're all great chefs to me.

The 3.0.1 kitchen, while robust, is a little (dare I admit it) intimidating.

... so many choices and I'm not really sure what some (most ?) of them are; not to say that a trip to google doesn't solve that problem ...

It is really really easy to use. If you just run it as is and add no customization it is fantastic. Kick it up a notch (to keep with the chef theme) and add your own oems and customize it to your liking and it becomes absolutly amazing.
