Re: Custom Sprint ROM with 3.35/WM6.1?

No2Chem's 5055 is very stable, and much faster than any 6.0.

I've been using no2chem's ROMS for months and I love them...

I've just seen some talk about qwerks with implementing the new radio, but I'll probably give it a try anyway.

Do you have to do the OEM 3.35 first or can you simply "upgrade" directly to 5055?

You have to flash the new ROM with 3.35 Radio first, then 5055.

I made that mistake myself lol.

Re: Custom Sprint ROM with 3.35/WM6.1?

I tried DCD's first but it was too stripped and had some memory issues. Did VetVito's next and love it. Very fast with lots of free RAM.

When I compared, apples to apples between VetVito's bare-boned ROM and a similarly configure ROM built by DCDs, again marvelous kitchen, the VetVito ROM had 900k more (available) program memory.

47.88 (VetVito), vs. 46.98 (DCD)

With the same amount of in use memory reported, this translated into 900k more Free memory. 24.36 (VetVito) vs. 23.46 (DCDs)

Now, most people aren't going to work with a stripped-down ROM. I like to start out this way ... because I am strange. I only mention this, because you obviously can't expect this amount of available RAM if you install one of VetVito's loaded-up ROMs with his tweaked-up home/desktop configurations.
