Re: BAF GPS Toggle, Beta Version 1

Ugh I had this great program working earlier, now i cant get the plug-in on my display.

Is there an easy way to create a short-cut to the toggle? I'm not finding the actual switch in programs. Maybe It will not work with my HTC customizer.

Edit: Tried installing to my device and storage card, still no dice.

Fixed!: After i installed it to my card the plugin for GPS was disabled. Re-enabled and its on my home screen. Yay!

Re: BAF GPS Toggle, Beta Version 1

Nice work. I like having it sit on the today screen.

One request...can you reduce the number of pixels the plugin takes up on the todays screen? Seems to me that the plugin is bigger than needed...

Ha, just noticed that. It is just slightly bigger than normal. I have no real grip, just loaded up iGuidance 4.0 and worked flawless. Thanks Baf!

Installing to card doesn't make any difference, it's just one DLL in the Windows folder. There is no switch program (I will be releasing one which will show a tray icon on the today screen when GPS is enabled), just the plugin.

That will be done on the next beta release, which should be this weekend.

Any chance of getting an EXE for this? I like to be able to map it to a button.

Thanks..

I know you got a lot on your plate, but could you make a simple icon for it?

Running SPB mobile Shell 2.0, and it doesn't really have a home screen and only authorized plug-ins can install. But if you had some sort of .exe file It would be a recent used program which i COULD pin to the home menu!

Re: BAF GPS Toggle, Beta Version 1

the weekend has come and gone...baf, any updates on this coming?

also, i have no problem with device.exe when i go into standby with gps on. when i bring it out of standby, the gps is off even though it says on, so i do have to toggle it real quick from off and back to on to turn it back on, however i dont get any errors.

Re: BAF GPS Toggle, Beta Version 1

I got a bunch of work done on it this weekend, however power notifications do not work right for applications (usually they come AFTER the device already wakes up). I have pretty much overhauled it and made it look better, but there isn't a good solution as of yet for the power management issue. I'm afraid I may just have to set a minimum power requirement to keep the device alive while GPS is enabled.
