Can you get to the bootloader by holding the power and camera keys while resetting the phone? |
Re: HTC Splash Screen says no radio
have you tried upgrading to the newest rom? that should update the radio version to the newest one.

and what is putting the phone into bootloader going to do? Nothing at all
|
Re: HTC Splash Screen says no radio
ok here is my 2 cents, this guy jumped ship to no2's or dcds rom and never even read how to do it properly. never installed a radio, never saw where they repeatedly said to flash the official rom before a custom one because thats the easiest way.
now just like 07390428734908230948230498 other people who dont read, he makes another thread next to the other 39827498327498273498723984723987 threads that already exist. hmmm |

i too get irritated when people dont search first but this isnt exactly a common problem. not many people experience this issue. so chill out. it aint like he asked "where do i get the new rom" or somin-he asked a legitimate question that there arent many answers to |
Re: HTC Splash Screen says no radio
anyways, Prezz, what rom were u running>? and what rom were you or did you flash to?

You need to loose the attitude. It may not be your way of helping, but it is mine and it works. |
Re: HTC Splash Screen says no radio
what do u think i just recommended him do??? u told him to put it into bootloader- then what>? u didnt say anything SMARTAS*
which is why i asked you WHAT IS PUTTING IT INTO BOOTLOADER GOING TO DO? prez flash to the newest rom, which **should** update the radio as well. Reading about this issue in other places, that *may not* work. There are alot of variables here..We need more information. As far as putting it into bootloader mode, IF your going from a stock rom to the new sprint(stock 3.35) rom, you may or may not have to put it in bootloader mode, your computer may still be able to gather the information from the phone. If it wont, THEN put it into bootloader mode and attempt to load the new rom. See if that helps |
Re: HTC Splash Screen says no radio
Because after he did so, I would ask the next questions.
|
Re: HTC Splash Screen says no radio
I was running the Rom and it was working fine. My battery died and then when I recharged it and power it on it was stuck in a reset loop unless it was connected by usb. I appreciate the help.... but the other people need to get a life. Not better to do than talk down on people having a problem that others might have already encountered. I got into the bootloader and tried to update but it freezes at 11% everytime and it goes through this same cycle. I have updated my roms and used a couple of the kitchens... I have had the 6600, 6700, and now the 6800 with no problems until last night.
|
Re: HTC Splash Screen says no radio
were you upgrading from a custom or stock rom? Also, what rom version are you trying to update to?
and i agree with you. dont get me wrong if you would have asked a dumb azz question i woulda flamed u 4 being a noob and not searching first, but you had a question thats legit, and in my opinion i dont know why he wasted his time to chime in if he wasnt gonna help |
Re: HTC Splash Screen says no radio
i upgraded from custom to the new one.... it did not happen immediately. It was the next day and happened after my battery died.
|
Re: HTC Splash Screen says no radio
so this happened when running the stock sprint rom(new one?) if you cant reflash it, take the SOB to a sprint store and tell them its defective. Dont mention custom roms, just tell them you went from 2.17 to the new 3.35 and that after your battery died, this happened.
BTW, if you upgraded from a stock rom, you didnt have to re-lock, did u do this? |
Re: HTC Splash Screen says no radio
thanks for the effort. I think I figured it out. I will post what I did to get it going when I am 100% sure that is what it was.
|
Re: HTC Splash Screen says no radio
Well I am pass one osbstacle. I have the new radio and rom loaded but I am stuck in that reboot loop process. It works fine as long as it connected to usb but reboots seconds after unplugging it.
|
Re: HTC Splash Screen says no radio
reboot loop after unplugging or dies after unplugging?
edit well i reread your post above and i guess it goes back to reboot loop? Did your battery die unexpectedly? Tried taking battery and and reseating? Are you sure your battery is good? |
Re: HTC Splash Screen says no radio
the phone reboots when it is unplugged from the usb. as long as it plugged in it is fine. my battery is good...(I'm tried it in another mogul). I was able to downgrade to the orignal 2.17 rom and it works but whenever I try to go back to the new rom it stops at 11%.
|
Re: HTC Splash Screen says no radio
what OS are you running? I'm not sure if that will help but i thought i remember the 11% was a vista problem.... just something you could search
|
Re: HTC Splash Screen says no radio
I am using xp pro
|
Re: HTC Splash Screen says no radio
if u havent fixed it, ill shoot into the dark here...and it may seem stupid, but the batteries can cause alot of weird problems, and you say it happens when not charging right? perhaps u should try a new battery! especially since this happened after it intitially died. Like I said this isnt really likely to fix the problem. but its worth a try

Re: HTC Splash Screen says no radio
this is sometimes an issue with not having the correct bootloader to go with the radio/OS combination you are trying to flash i've heard. what bootloader do you have now Unprezz?

I have tried the SD card trick, and here is what my phone reads:
00018003 TITAIMG.nbh - FAIL Bootloader - OK SPLASH1 - OK SPLASH2 - OK EXTROM - OK OS - UPDATE TERMINATE UPDATE FAIL Thoughts? |
Re: HTC Splash Screen says no radio
I'm currently going through the same thing. I had the HTC 3.35 rom. Installed SPL 1.20 olipro and now when I download a custom rom it goes to the htc splash screen with red NO ROM at the bottom.
|
Re: HTC Splash Screen says no radio
olipro 1.2 does NOT work with the GPS roms. you needed to install the MFG2.40 bootloader.
try flashing back to 2.17, and then installed the 2.40 bootloader, then installing your custom rom, and see if that works. |

Edit.. I found the titan 2.40 bootloader but my question is this. Since I downgraded from 3.35 to 2.17 due to the fact I have olipro 1.20, does this mean I can't put 2.40 on there? Meaning I'm stuck with 2.17 as my rom? I tried to download 3.35 on to my phone but it won't let me, it keeps crashing. For those who have Olipro 1.20 and are stuck with the same issue and wanna downgrade, here's the RUU Titan 2.17 rom http://www.megaupload.com/?d=5K810DAE |
Re: HTC Splash Screen says no radio
Quote:
1. ROM 2. Radio 3. Bootloader (also called locker, unlocker, re-locker, SPL) The three components are saved in discrete portions of the device's memory. Installing or flashing one does not overwrite the others. All three must be compatible for the phone to operate properly. If you stop the upgrade process recommended by the ROM compiler prior to completion, your phone may not operate properly. If you flash an official stock OEM ROM package, it contains all three components. The only combinations that work properly are: A. 1. 2.xx level official stock ROM or custom ROM based on official stock 2.xx ROM 2. 1.xx level radio 3. 1.xx level locker/unlocker/bootloader/SPL B. 1. 3.xx level official stock ROM or custom ROM based on official stock 3.xx ROM 2. 3.xx radio 3. 2.xx level locker/unlocker/bootloader/SPL No other combination will work properly. Custom ROMs can be numbered however the ROM compiler decides to number them, and are often inconsistent with the official numbering schemes, so you have to research the custom ROM to determine what level official stock ROM it is based upon. If you have the Olipro 1.20 unlocked bootloader installed, you must install either the relocker or the Olipro 2.40 unlocked bootloader PRIOR TO flashing an official stock level 3.xx OEM ROM; or must install the Olipro 2.40 unlocked bootloader and the level 3.xx radio PRIOR TO flashing a custom ROM based upon a stock level 3.xx OEM ROM. Installing a bootloader/unlocker/relocker/SPL requires that your phone be able to connect to your PC through Activesync or WMDC, which means that to change the bootloader, you must have a compatible set of bootloader, ROM, and radio installed. Therefore, the bootloader currently on your device controls what level ROM and radio you must flash. Once you get to a compatible set, you may then install a different bootloader and proceed with flashing ROMs (and radio if necessary). Based on the number of questions about upgrading, it is obvious that threads about how to upgrade are hard to find; they are apparently well-hidden in the "sticky thread" area. Re: HTC Splash Screen says no radio
Geez you guys, just give him the answer already.
What you want to do is put the phone in bootloader mode by pressing (Power+Camera) and hit the softreset button with your stylus. You should see the tri color screen. Then you'll want to flash the Stock Sprint 3.35 Radio + Rom. Depending on whether you're on Sprint or not - let the customizations run. If you're not on Sprint, WHATEVER YOU DO, dont let the customizations run. If will fuxor up your phone. Then, you're free to flash whatever custom rom you care to on top of that. As far Sprint goes, I don't have them, so when you go to program the phone I'm not sure if you have to manually program it. In that case I'd consult another thread. EDIT: Actually, I forgot the bootloader. You'll need to flash the 2.40 OLIPRO bootloader, after you've flashed the Sprint stock rom. |
Re: HTC Splash Screen says no radio
Thanks. Most of this stuff I found out already. Thing is, I don't know if it's because I'm running vista or what, but I can't install the 3.35 rom anymore cause it keeps crashing.
Also, now my power button doesn't work. My mogul goes off like it normally does but now when I press power to turn it on it doesn,t come back. |
