No image on phone after upgrade

Ok, so I followed the steps to upgrading. During the process I received an error about rocovery. I followed the stps listed about pulling the battery and waiting three seconds, and after that my phone does nothing now. It goes to the bootloader screen i think. The red, green, blue, and white stripes. The problem is that if I run the rom update again, I notice that it does not recognize any rom on the phone and tells me that it is upgrading to 3.54 from nothing.
When I start my phone it blips "Loading....... No Image" for a quick second before hitting the 4 color screen. Did I brick my phone? The update was going fine until the error popped up. I tried some of the things listed in the Stuck in bootloader screen thread but am still stuck. I beleive my phone has nothing on it now. No ROM i guess. Thanks guys.

Re: No image on phone after upgrade

Just flash the new ROM again. Don't worry about the RUU not recognizing the current ROM. I don't think it ever recognizes the current ROM version when you flash straight from the bootloader.

Re: No image on phone after upgrade

I tried running the rom update again but it gives me the error "This phone cannot use this Update Utility" or something like that. I was hoping it was that simple, but nope. lol. I read somewhere about flashing from the SD card so I will try that i guess.

Re: No image on phone after upgrade

Nope no luck. I called Sprint and they said I did the upgrde wrong. I didnt think I did since it was going to along so well until the error popped up. Does anyone know of a way to install a rom without using the update utility. I searched but maybe I am using the wrong words. I'll keep looking.

Edit: It reads at the top right RUUNBH the on the left side

Re: No image on phone after upgrade

My pc is vista. I tried flashing from SD card. I loaded the image on the sd card and power reset the phone, but still nothing happened. Just did the same thing. Blipped "loading...." then went back to tri-color screen. I am going to keep searching the internet and here and try what I can. Did I do the flash from sd right?

Edit: Hehe, I re-followed the steps for Vista "Stuck in Bootloader...." and still same thing. Now when I try to run the rom after running the exitbootloader program the rom fails befor eit starts. It encounters an error after clicking "update" and closes. I am thinking that somewhere along the way in the original flash, it messed up. Whenever I start the phone and it blips the loading screen, I see "no image." under "loading" before it goes to the bootloader screen.

Re: No image on phone after upgrade

Try relocking with the old bootloader and try to install 2.17...See if that works atleast. If it does than you should be able to go to 3.35

Edit: Also try getting ur hands on a xp com...that might help too

Re: No image on phone after upgrade

Everything you need can be found on this site and/or the FTP (ftp://up.ppcgeeks.com/titan). I'm a little unclear on the steps you've taken so far. Can you tell us step by step everything you did to initially install the new ROM. Don't leave out any details.

Here are a few things you can try though (mostly reiteration of what hotbyz said). Trying from an XP computer might help. I always flash mine from Vista, but there is usually less troubleshooting to be done with XP. Start from scratch.

The old bootloader/relocker is here: ftp://up.ppcgeeks.com/Titan/Users/Im...n_Relocker.exe

I couldn't get 2.17 to reload when I tried, but if you want to give it a shot the .nbh is here: ftp://up.ppcgeeks.com/Titan/Users/Im...RUU_signed.rar

You'll just need to put that nbh file in the RUU folder and run RomUpdateUtility.exe. Here is a link to the RUU: ftp://up.ppcgeeks.com/Titan/Users/Im...N/roms/RUU.rar

If that doesn't work you can try flashing 2.17 from the SD card (again didn't work for me, but it was my first attempt at flashing from SD). I've heard the card needs to be formatted in FAT32, so do that first. Then rename the .nbh from above to TITAIMG.nbh and place it on the root of your SD card. Put the card in your phone, and go into bootloader mode (Camera+Power+Reset simultaneously). Should start flashing the image from the SD, at least that is my understanding.

If you can't load 2.17 at all, and you're still stuck in the bootloader, just try flashing to 3.35 from the official update exe. Maybe try a fresh download of that too. There are mirrors all over the place, but I know the one on the FTP worked for me:
ftp://up.ppcgeeks.com/Titan/RUU/RUU_...CS_AM_Ship.exe

If that still doesn't work you can try extracting the nbh from that exe and flashing from SD again using the method described above.

If that doesn't work try loading Olipro's 2.40 bootloader from here: ftp://up.ppcgeeks.com/Titan/Users/Im...rd-SPL-MFG.exe

Then try reloading 3.35 with both methods above. I'm sure you've already tried a lot of this, but I was just trying to give you some ideas of steps you can take, and a consolidated source of links so you don't have to hunt around. Hope that helps Let us know if you get it sorted out.
