After several ROM upgrades (and downgrades) each time I was stuck @ a splash-scree I would remove the battery, replace and hard-reset. It would then 'seem' to freeze-up again, but if left alone for 5 solid minutes would continue to boot as normal. I don't know the whys... but it worked.

Re: Restoring your xv6800 to a Stock Verizon ROM

Has anyone that was operating on the relocked stock rom been able to upgrade to the new official MR6.1 update? Every time I try to flash my phone stops at 11% and then gives me an error message. Thanks for any help.

To set your phone back to the default Verizon ROM, do the following:
  1. Download all necessary files 1) Titan Re-locker 2) Stock Verizon ROM 3) ROM Update Utility
  2. Unzip/rar the Stock ROM and the RUU (unrar using WinRAR) ****DO NOT UNZIP THE RELOCKER**** (it is a self extracting zip and will run properly as is)
  3. Place the Ruu_signed.nbh file in the RUU folder
  4. Hard reset your phone by holding down both softkeys, hitting reset, and pressing R (just for good measure)
  5. Connect your phone to your PC and make sure ActiveSync is connected
  6. Re-lock your phone by running Titan_Relocker.exe
  7. Place the stock Verizon ROM in the RUU folder
  8. Run the RUU by running ROMUpdateUtility.exe
  9. For good measure, let the Verizon ROM complete its setup.
I'm doing this from memory so please let me know if I missed a step so that I can update this post.

I hope this is helpful.

Cool Re: Restoring your xv6800 to a Stock Verizon ROM

I have just spend 2 hours looking for this info. yes there are tons of threads on here but they were posted in 2006 2007 and all of the servers are down. (atleast for me they were) this is the only one i have found to actually work. well the files are downloaded (and i burned them so i can Re-undo later if i want) its really important to have a way to get back to ground zero. its really the messuring line. if everything goes wrong this will (presumably) get you back. i'll repost and let you know what happen after the install currently it feels like it is going to work. 50% installing the Default VZW rom. ok just incase you ahve not figured it out.... dont let that sprint thing run. i read that .. ok i know... i did seriously read it. but HOW DO YOU STOP THAT BLASTED THING. i took the battery out. but that was too late. hope this verizon service rom works.

Re: Restoring your xv6800 to a Stock Verizon ROM

Speaking of a failure to search... Actually, I have been searching for over an hour for an answer to my new problem. Here at work we have alot of Moguls and it is always my job to test upgrades and new ROM. I finally got around to trying out the new one, and now my phone is stuck at the HTC Smart mobility screen. I cannot get it to be recognized by activesync, which makes every tool I have seen here useless for locking/unlocking or otherwise reverting back to an earlier version.

Any other ideas as to what I can do? I have done all of the resets, including back to the Colorful boot loader screen and being asked to press "r" to reset.

Pull the battery for 30 seconds and that helps me.

Re: Restoring your xv6800 to a Stock Verizon ROM

Anyone know if this will work on the 6900? I need to make it look as stock as possible and was wondering if this would do the trick.
