Unhappy Upgraded new Mogul, now MSL is changed?

Hello, I received a replacement Mogul yesterday and kinda fubared the upgrading process to 3.35. Now I got the correct boatloader, radio, and rom loaded, boots up fine and every etc. So I've called in twice to sprint activations to get my phone programmed, each time they gave me the same MSL number and when I enter it in the phone just sits there. This far from the first time I've activated a WM phone, or any phone for that matter so I'm kinda stunned. Would appreciate any help, thanks!

Re: Upgraded new Mogul, now MSL is changed?

Every phone has a different MSL becuase it is based on your HEX ESN number. Since you have a new phone, the ESN is obviously different, meaning the MSL is different as well. You can use the GETSPC program to generate your MSL from your ESN. I can't seem to find it at the moment, but I could post it when I get home tonight.

do you still have the box the new phone also came in? if so it will have the numbers you require. if not pull the battery and get form there. Iam also on the road so can not direct you to correct link for the program to convert it to the msl. its on the site search for it should be multiple posts.

Re: Upgraded new Mogul, now MSL is changed?

Ok so I tried the application posted, which gives me the same MSL sprint has given me twice already. What would be causing my phone not to take the MSL code?

Edit: I am using the ESN(HEX for the application, DEC for sprint) that is on the new phone I received, and no I do not have the box it was a warranty swap and I only received the phone.

Did you use all caps with the ESN NUNBER? If not it will give you wrong number with getspc program. Maybe it will the right number.

I used caps, the program gave me the exact same MSL Sprint gave me twice. This leads me to believe somehow the ESN or MSL was changed at somepoint in my adventure to flash this thing to 3.35. Under Device Information, it lists the correct ESN though... HELP!!!

Re: Upgraded new Mogul, now MSL is changed?

When you upgraded, did you let the Sprint customizations run? This sets the MSL.

You probably need to re-run the sprint updater and let it fully run through the customizations. This will correct your MSL. From there you can do a hard reset and flash away to whatever ROM you want.

I think this may have been my problem, not sure if I let the sprint cusomizations go through. Have to check this out when I get home. Thanks
