Device not recognized

Ok,

So I have spent the better part of the morning reading up on this issue here and other places and have yet to find a solution.

Hardware/OS
Vista 32bit & Mogul w/ 2.17.651.0 ROM

Background
Thursday the device worked great at work. Added a new program to the phone and all was working great. This weekend in anticipation of the upcoming ROM I hard reset my device. I came in the office this am, plugged in my device and get the Device not recognized.

I uninstalled WMDC, reinstalled and patched. Reconnected my device and it did nonthing, no beeps, no errors nothing.

I plugged it into another laptop here in the office also vista, and it beeped and showed as Device not recognized.

I replugged it in to my laptop and it beeped and came up un recognized.

I did the advanced options thing and that had no effect.

Any other ideas? Anyone know why this happens. I had this issue from time to time with my 6700 too and never did find a solution, just found that randomly it would work and not work.

I really want to update my rom as you can imagine so any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: Device not recognized

You are not the only one. I have the same issue with the Stock ROM. I have seen others with issues. I wonder if it is the Spring forward thing for activesync

Re: Device not recognized

Unfortunately, I've done that. Doesn't help me either.

Re: Device not recognized

Yup, that didn't work for me either...will keep working on it. As a network admin by trade this kinda thing will honk me off till I find a solution....will definitely post when one is found.

Course I can always use a couple of nudges in the right direction....if anyone has had this issue and solved it please post away.

Re: Device not recognized

I am also having the exact same problem. I am using Activesync with XP and one day my phone just showed up as unrecognized. I have searched and searched and tried everything! Nothing works. Just out of curiosity what program did you install? I installed nueLED and then mine stopped working. I was thinking this might of had something to do with but I can't uninstall it so I will never know I suppose.

Re: Device not recognized

Are you using the Mobile center with Vista? Active Sync will not work with Vista. I can't remember the program that is used but it isn't AS.
