some of you guys complain way too much,.. i am a Touch user as many others are and we don't even have the ability to use turn-by-turn GPS and here are you guys over here whining about them releasing update on monday because monday isn't convenient for you.. how absurd...

.. next everyone is going to complain because they aren't getting the 3Mbit/s burst with RevA and are gonna threaten to put a class action suit on sprint because of it.

when they start charging you for these updates then you have a right to complain...
you guys think these carriers owe you something, these updates are free they include many bonuses at no charge..

with that said.. wait til monday's update and be glad you have what us Touch users have been patiently waiting for.

we bought our phones a year ago being told the rev a would be updated. Not to mention that the original marketing said it had GPS (one of the main reasons i got the phone.) so it is not an issue were they did us a favor by updating it. They are only giving us what we paid for in the first place. not that i have ever posted a complaint on the boards, i call mine in to sprint. (often)

You can't be serious man! This is not really an update. It's mainly what was initially offered. That is why there is such a buz when ever there is a rumour about an update. It's because your phone is getting closer to do what Sprint initially told you it would do.

I bought my Mogul purely for the GPS. A week after purchase I noticed that Sprint had added $9.99 telenav charge to my plan. I called CS and they said yeah. Just click on this link and download. Therewas no link cause the link was meant for symbian phones.

I personally could care less about Rev A. My speed is fast enough.However, GPS was plainly written as an active feature when I bought my phone. They did pull it from their site a couple weeks later.

So! No! Sprint is not doing anyone any favour.

Rev. A mainly increases upload and lowers latency. Even though Rev. A isn't much faster in my area, it is definitely less laggy and faster uploading. Those complaining about Rev. A either don't have it available in their area or are expecting a cable connection in their pocket.

Rev. A can easily compete with a lower end DSL connection, which is great for being mobile.

a couple questions... if the new rom does actually drop tomorrow, and people start to get rev a, will there be a different symbol up by signal strength?... i'm not really sure, (and i prolly shoulda read ma manual) but i either get the 1x(which normally comes up when i send a text or i'm on the phone) or the EV, which i believes means EV-DO...

is there gonna be a different symbol when the new rom uses rev a?

Anyone else worried were all gonna crash HTC's website tomorrow? I mean with all of us sitting and waiting for their site to reflect the new ROM. That would kinda suck.......

"All of us"? From this site? I doubt that would be enough to crash their site. Now if you count all of the people here and all the other forums that have been hyped about it then maybe. But HTC should have probably learned something by now from previous releases...hopefully.

If it is coming from HTC, I wouldn't be surprised if it appeared at 8:00 AM German local time.

While I do agree that complaining on the exact day is kind of silly, I do agree with this post 100%. I bought my Mogul on the promise of GPS (on top of everything else). If I had known it would have taken this long to get it, I probably would have held off buying the phone -- if at all.

This update isn't doing us a favor. It was promised to us from the beginning -- especially to the early adopters when GPS was clearly labeled in the specs.

Just curious since im staying up all nite! What is the major difference beetween wm 6 and 6.1? and how hard is it to up in a rom like no2chems?

i have my eye on this as well just for the radio...the rest is all filler and my buddy jd im sure will make me a new rom same as the old with the new radio...

Fortunately I wasn't an early adopter, and being a former treo owner since 2006, I was familiar with Windblows Mobile.... I bought it *knowing* it needed a "software" upgrade, and knowing it would come soon.... I suppose that over three months isn't "soon" but the beta was leaked after I had the phone for only 30 days... so that was nice... and I also bought the phone for $99 through Amazon, instead of the full price (I hear it was $549?) so it's not like it was a huge major dent in my pocket....all I had to do was change my phone number (because it required a new line of service) ... I was out of my contract at the time. And though I realize that Sprint sucks and they are going under, they let me in with a $200 deposit in 2005, instead of $1000 from Verizon.... and I was tired of low -- I mean "no" --- quality, GSM... So, I'm already getting screwed for a cell phone monthly, and it's one crook company or another, I might as well keep Sprint. And the new Simply "Everything" (eye roll) plan, isn't so bad. I enjoy unlimited minutes for $50-100/month LESS than it used to be... :-)

I just got the sweetest news, I live in Ohio and we got 20 inches of snow on Friday/Saturday and my school is closed tomorrow. So now I get to HOPEFULLY, and that is some major hoping, mess with my phone and the new rom tomorrow

i really dont think so because on the top of the page it clearly says SPRINT... but u should call alltell and get to someone who would know...

Anyone pulling an all nighter until the ROM update comes out tomorrow, or atleast to see if it comes out tomorrow?

I'm not lol but i just want to make sure there's a thread started first thing in the morning when I wake up so I can download it!

Official ROM updates are carrier specific, so no, it will not work with an Alltel device until all the components have stripped and put together in a custom ROM.

NOPE WILL STILL SAY EV AT THE TOP...THE ONLY WAY FOR U TO KNOW ITS REV A IS THE SPEED DIFFERENCE...DO A SPEED TEST TONIGHT BEFORE THE UPDATE...AND DO ONE AGAIN TOMORROW AND COMPARE THE DIFFERENCE...EVERYONE IS GOING TO HAVE A DIFFERENT INPROVEMENT AMOUNT...IT DEPENDS ON UR LOCATION HOW FAST IT IS...

Still not on the server, did a brute force check on the server from "RUU_TITAN_SPRINT_WWE_3.32.651.2_RS_TITAN_SPCS_3.2 7.00_Ship.exe" to "RUU_TITAN_SPRINT_WWE_3.32.651.2_RS_TITAN_SPCS_3.3 7.00_Ship.exe"

Unless the radio rom is greater than 3.37, or they changed the naming format, its not on the ftp yet.

I wouldn't count on an exact 9am release. If you remember last time, alot of people could not see the update back in November because of Akamai caching. I would request that if anyone does see the update, that they post the direct link to the download so we don't have another thread full of "I can see it" and "I don't see it.." responses.
