Question NOOB ? - Upgrade process from Custom ROM to Hopefully released OEM ROM.

As the anticipated hour of the HTC Official 3.xx ROM release nears, I would like to ask the community some NOOB questions:

1.) What steps will need to be followed in order to get the OEM ROM installed if I have NO2CHEM's 5051 ROM installed?

2.) Do I need to relock the device? If so, how do I do it?

3.) Can I just load a custom ROM later and avoid relocking the device?

I currently have:

Sprint beta 3.16
Radio 3.27
Olipro Unlocker 2.40
No2Chem’s 5051 Custom ROM

Any help easing my fears would be greatly welcomed.

respectfully,

RW

You will likely need to re-lock and flash back to 2.17. That's what I've done in anticipation..

realistically it's probably worth just waiting a day or two so that No2Chem can put out a new rom - this one coming out won't have WM6.1 more than likely so it's an upgrade in some aspects and a downgrade in others...

I am also wondering the same things as OP. My research tells me that even if we intend to wait for a custom ROM to come out, we still need to relock regardless in order to get the new radio. Can an expert confirm this?

Would I follow this process :

1.) Run the Titan Relocker

2.) Load OEM 2.17

3.) Load OEM 3.xx official release (hopefully released on 3/10)

4.) Run HARD_SPL_MFG (to unlock)

5.) Load new custom ROM (either No2Chem's, DCD's, or NexVisions and the works of other awesome cooks)

6.) Enjoy

Just trying to make sure that I don't brick my phone because I did something I thought was right instead of asking and doing it right.

thanks in advance,

rw

If I wait for No2Chem's custom ROM, I still need to install the newly released 3.xx ROM because of the new radio, hopefully fixed memory leaks, and other fixes, correct?
