Flashing via Storage Card Problem Most people have.

Before you think this is just another thread from someone who has not done their research from other threads to reference the problem please read on.

I have a Mac, so flashing ROM via storage card is the only option I have right now. Even if I had a Windows machine, I still would like to solve this issue.

Here are the steps I took.

Step 1: Got a blank 128mb card and formatted it FAT32 using storage tools on on device.

Step 2: Extract .nbh file from no2chem 6.1 rom.

Step 3: Copied it over to storage card.

Step 4: Placed storage card in device.

Now this is where I ran into my first problem. Everyone was tellng me from this point to hold down power button and camera button and then press yes to reset device. After trying and trying, I figured out device needed to be off and then when you hold down power and camera it goes into bootload screen.

So...Step 5: From off position, hold power-camera, bootload. The first problem I had was that it would just say loading. I went back into storage card on device and saw that there is no extention even though i know i made sure it was there when i put it one from computer. So i added .nbh . Now instead of just saying "Loading..." I got it to stay on Tri Color screen and at the bottom it says "Serial" and does nothing.

So this is the point that I am at. Here is was I noticed that may be the problem. Whenever I put storage card into my computer via sd card adapter, i notice that after I added .nbh on device, the computer shows TITAIMG.NBH.nbh . When I put it back into the device it says TITAIMG.nbh as if the other extention is hidden.

Could this be the issue, if so, how do i fix it? Or do you have any ideas why this might not be working. I appreciate your input.

While the flash card is in your PC, remove the second extension you added.

Agreed. The file explorer you are using on the phone is not set to show extensions. When you added .nbh, you were really changing the name of the file to titaimg.nbh.nbh.

Remove the .nbh that you added.

Edit: Also, the screen doesn't need to be off. You just have to make sure you hold both buttons while performing the reset. Usually a good idea to hold them for a second or two after you hit the reset button.

I don't think he realized a reset would do it. He was just holding down the buttons.

Quick question on formatting the card...do you have to format it thru the phone or can you right-click in windows explorer and go to format and choose FAT32 there?

I'm following all the steps to the T and i just end up at the bootloader as if there was no card in the slot.

I read somewhere that the card must be formatted and the file copied in a PC, not in the phone.
