What GPS software do you use?

I use iNav iGuidance which works great if you use the GPSGate workaround for better updating. Also, I like keeping the maps on the memory card rather than using the data connection.

How's your's working out for ya? Let us know!

Re: What GPS software do you use?

I use iGuidance and have had very few issues. What is the GPSGate workaround you are talking about? The only problem I've really had is a couple of places it told me to "keep left" when that was obviously wrong and then sometimes it crashes since I put WM 6 on (and I don't want to pay for the upgrade that doesn't crash).

Re: What GPS software do you use?

I'm satisfied for the most part with MS Live Search cause it's free, accurate and highly detailed... now if only the added turn by turn voice prompts i'd have nothing left to knock about it....

I use GPSgate as a 'middle man' between the GPS and iNav.
Before GpsGate, I would only get a location update once every ten seconds or so. Sometimes much longer.
With GpsGate, it updates faster than once a second.

I use Windows Live Search. I ***ume that's what you meant by Microsoft Live.

Re: What GPS software do you use?

I just started using Nav4All (www.nav4all.com freeware, gives turn by turn directions in a rediculous amount of languages, seems to be European based but has maps for the entire planet). Needs a GPS keep alive and I'm using the Holux GPS viewer (which is also freeware). As I just got it yesterday, I don't have enough info to give a review, but it got me to a local movie theater in rural Tennessee perfectly....

Re: What GPS software do you use?

After checking the poll, I switched from iNav to TomTom. Now I see why a lot of people use it.
The refresh rate is fantastic, and all I have to do is open it with the AstroGPSlauncher shortcut and everything works without any coaxing or jumpstarting.
(The Astro Launcher never worked for me with iNav.)
Also the GPS opens right away, and the backlight stays on.
Good to go!

Re: What GPS software do you use?

Using Ambicom Navigator. Worked on the first time.

Probably unknown to everyone... the software came with my Bluetooth GPS. Includes maps of entire US.
