Average free ROM w/nueCHEM 6.1
Just wondering if it is only my phone or what, i only get about 15-17mb free after a soft reset...just wondering if that is typical or what? cause though my phone seems to be fast, i have no added software and am worried if i add any it'll use more and slow my phone down. By the way i'm currently using 3.16 and nueCHEM's 6.1 on my Sprint HTC MOGUL (ppc 6800)

6.1 has awesome memory mangament. Even running at 2mb the phone moves like it does after a soft reset. With everything i am running and after opening PIE, Messaging and the like im at 9mb and the phone flies.

If I soft reset, then execute "hibernate" with Quickmenu 2.7, I'll get maybe 17-20 megs free, but that quickly dwindles to around 10-14 on average.

I am also using no2chems 6.1 ROM, 5049.

appears as though programs like pie or tcpmp, frequently, randomly closes when open together at the same time. does this happen to anyone else?

Try running Opera (not the mini version)
You will notice that after just a few pages, it runs out of memory.

I haven't had this experience, but the revised Opera 9.4x beta is TERRIBLE about crashing for some reason...I usually can never get past my homepage before it crashes.

No kidding. I have the same problem with PIE and any add-on that gives you tabbed browsing.

opera mobile 9.4xx is a ram sucker but i find it a lot more stable than 9.3xx which freezed on me a lot. besides the ram problem is very promising, hoping they that soon!

guys i had the same problem. i then tried dcd's rom
and after soft boot with no programs i got 25-27 free memory.
with about 5-6 programs installed i get about 22-23 free memory
after sofTboot. Right now i'm using the latest netfront and have
pocket outlook open or whatever default messaging is and have 12-13M
of free memory.
