Alltel people, I need your input

Which ROM are you guys running to get the GPS on your devices? My sister has the mogul with Alltel and I was going to flash her phone for her. I have flashed about 5 Sprint moguls, but have not dealt with any other carriers. I dont want her phone going haywire if I go with the Sprint ROM. So give me some insight guys.

Re: Alltel people, I need your input

I've been waiting for a specific ROM for Alltel, and have yet to get any official word on 6.1 for us. As far as working existing ROMs, I have no idea yet, I'm trying to find one that I can trust not to rack up roaming and other issues.

Re: Alltel people, I need your input

the colonel has an Alltel rom in his ftp...might be worth looking at. I've been running his 1/31 Sprint rom for about 3 weeks now...no issues at all and very stable. he just put the Alltel up a couple days ago, so its "probably" got all the latest goodies as usual.

I'm using dcd's 2.3.2 WM6.1 ROM on my Alltel 6800. Just download the kitchen and build it yourself.

Slick as can be.
*EDIT* I should give you some more Alltel-specific info... after running the install per the instructions (first unlocker, then ROM, then radio) you will want to dial *228 and selct option #3... this will reprovision the phone (no need to go into EPST). After that completes and it resets, then again dial *228 and select option #2 to get the correct PRL.

This is exactly what I did too. You need Radio 3.27. The radio is still kind of glitchy.
