Re: Upgraded phone now it thinks it is roaming

Is there any way to extract the PRL and upload it?

If I ring *22800 it says I need to talk to someone as they can't automatically provision my phone.

Re: Upgraded phone now it thinks it is roaming

I talked to someone, and they are unable to provision my phone at all, even manually because they can't unlock it. They asked what my PRL was, I gave them 60661 or whatever comes with 3.27 radio, they said it should only be 4 digits long. Then they said they can't help me.

A TCNZ PRL would be appreciated.

No they can't give you a prl but I will download some files on line tomorrow for you, one is a epst and but adding that to your ROM you should be able to sort your phone out and telecom will be able to help you.

I think I ran across your issue last night. Sounds like you let the Sprint customizations run.

I had to flash back to the stock Verizon ROM which removed the MSL and set it to 000000. Then I ran the 3.16 ROM again and reset before the Sprint customizations could run. That should fix your problem.

Re: Upgraded phone now it thinks it is roaming

Make sense, with what you have said. Most providers work out the MSL lock code by running a tool to calculate it using the ESN number, with TCNZ they have a stock standard code of 482826 and by using other providers epst files this number gets all missed up and hence Telecom can’t get you into the epst file to change or confirm your MSID and MDN.

download dcd's 3.2.2 kitchen
Delete epst.epst file in the dcd_carrier_telus and replace with this one.
In the Kitchen build the rom selecting Telus as the carrier

Once flashed
· type in the phone ##778#
· edit and use the unlock code of 482826 (if this number doesn’t work then use the GETSPC to calculate your ESN Hex umber that is printed under your battery, make sure to use CAPS)
· go to view info and update your Nam Setting MDN and MSID
· you MDN is you full mobile number eg 0275670008 and your MSID is 173 and your mobile number -027 so in this case the MSID would be 1735670008.

You should now be able to save and reset your phone and then download a PRL by dialling in *22800

At the end of the day I am using the Aero Rom as it seems the most stable for me.
