I have seriously read through alll of the forums, and anything anyone says to try, doesn't work. I dont know where to go from here. my computer doesnt recognize it. it only makes the sound when i plug it in.

look for ROMs tht are for your phone.if you are in the tricolor screen you should be able to put a rom on your phone from the tricolor screen. try looking on the htc site.

How do you put the rom on though? my htc isnt being recognized by activesync or anything? Can i boot somehow from my sd card?

You obviously have no idea what you are doing so why would you try to flash your phone. And another thing, its easy to just read something but its a lot harder to actually understand and comprehend what is being read. If you don't understand then don't waste your time.
