Custom Roms and Rev A EVDO dropouts

Is this issue related to buggy radio firmware or maybe because they haven't official release this Rev A yet?

At home I don't have EVDO, so I get the 1X, browsing is slower but its consistent. At work i have EVDO, its usually at 4-5 bars, very strong signal.

I am using the DCD 2.3.1 clean rom, with the 3.27 radio rom.

I fire open IE and try to browse the web at work and the EVDO signal strength meter drop to no bars every few seconds, and the broswing never seems to be solid, just kinda comes and goes. A soft reset does not fix the issue. I never see the signal strength meter bottom out like that while the phone is just sitting.

I can't get the GPS stuff to work at all, but I guess I don't care much about that yet.

I know i've seen some folks having this issue, just wondering is this is purely because we are using custome roms? With the factory Sprint rom I am not using Rev A but it is solid. So maybe the Rev A stuff isn't finalized with Sprint yet?

Stupid technology

Re: Custom Roms and Rev A EVDO dropouts

Any connection problems you have with a custom ROM and the Rev A radio are almost definitely due to the extreme beta quality of the leaked radio. No one can fix it, you either can deal with the buggy ROM or go back to the official ROM.

Also, read the stickies, man.
