VZW stock radio fails to install

After installing VZW_2.09_RUU_signed (stock vzw rom with SPL-2.40.Olipro)
I goto ionstall vzw_radio_only_RUU_signed (stock radio). The updater goes to 8% then fails with error 382 invalid command and says that the update utility (PDA PHONE UPDATE UTILITY 3.16.4.2) cannot be used with my phone. Has anyone had this problem??? Do I need another UPDATE UTILITY??? Maby it is the bootloader version.. Please help?????

Re: VZW stock radio fails to install

I thinkthat the rom and radio are incompatible with the 2.40 bootloader. You need to go back to the 1.06(or whatever the old hacked bootloader is).

Ooh that doesnt sound too good. I think I had the exact same problem awhile back. Does the upgrade ever go past 0%? When it happened to me, I couldnt get anything to flash either from the SD card nor through activesync. I ended up having to return the phone for a new one.

I believe you are supposed to flash the bootloader to Olipro 1.10 first but I could be mistaken

Re: VZW stock radio fails to install

It sounds like you're using the "VZW ROM Complete" from this thread, in which case, that ROM already has the stock radio built-in. Once you install the ROM, that's it, you should be good to go, no need to install the radio seperately. Perhaps that's why you're having problems installing the radio, because the same version is already in there? Just throwing that out there... not really sure if that would be a problem or not. And if you're not using that ROM, then I would give it a shot, because it worked perfectly for me.
