Re: VetVito's Aero Windows Mobile (6.1.1)

Really like the stock merged Sprint ROM. I didn't need PHM Rededit since I already have Resco, but not a big deal. Just as much free RAM as the stripped ROMs and still has all the extras.

It has about 900k more available RAM than the other cooks, but it appears he has the same pagepool size as the others.

^ Too late

Blue pill completed, and ready for posting.

If I emptied the rom I would have more memory than DCD, trust me. Thats with a good pagepool.

With seven rapidshare links on the front page of this thread and numerous available options in DCDs marvelous kitchen, I should have been more specific.

When I compared, apples to apples between VetVito's bare-boned ROM and a similarly configure ROM built by DCDs, again marvelous, kitchen, the VetVito ROM had 900k more (available) program memory.

47.88 (VetVito), vs. 46.98 (DCDs) (compare the memory control panel screen on DCDs thread at XDA)

With the same amount of in use memory reported, this translated into 900k more Free memory. 24.36 (VetVito) vs. 23.46 (DCDs)

Any reported memory leaks? Is HTC Home running good?

Personally, and I know this wasn't directed specifically to me, I can't speak to HTC Home. However, coming from a T-Mobile DASH (SmartPhone), I am very impressed with the Mogul and how this (VetVito) ROM handles low memory situations. Just the other day I (unknowingly) had PIE, Google Maps, Microsoft Live Search, ActiveSync (over-the-air Push, with Microsoft LIVE and a separate Exchange Server) and Messaging open. I use HTC's Task Manager, which puts an icon in the upper-right corner and I clicked on it and was startled to see so much open in my pop-down application list.

At this point, switching between applications was painful, but up to this point, Google Maps was tracking by GPS just fine ... and yes, I was stopped at a traffic light when I made this realization.

I agree with that and is one of the reasons behind my reflashing over dcd's ROM with vetvito's and I'm very glad that I did.

I've had a couple of spontaneous resets (twice in the past two days) but I've also loaded a ton of stuff on it. If it continues then I'll have to take a closer look at my apps.
