Re: Data on TELUS WM6.1 GPS roms
My data connection and GPS work great. I use three different GPS programs and all work well. All I did was follow the upgrade instructions and everything is working fine.

I am a new user on this forum and I also have the P4000 from Telus. I tried to enable GPS but it didn't succeed. I'm using the Olipro 2.40 radio with DCD 3.2.6 image and 3.42.40 radio. The software I''It's not working for me. I'm currently using is Google Maps, but I'd like to use TomTom. If you have the package (ROM, radio, bootloader, etc) that enable the GPS with instructions on how to install them, please let me know. I'd love to enable my GPS. Thank you so much, |

Follow the instructions QPST GPSOne Settings: These settings are used to properly configure the Assisted-GPS on the Telus HTC Touch (Vogue). Without these settings, many people cannot get the gps to work, but after applying these setting, get an instant GPS lock. 1. Connect your Vogue to your computer with the usb cable. This is also an excellent time to back up anything, just in case. 2. We need to put the phone in diagnostic mode. This is done by running dmrouter.exe, similar to epst.exe by dialing ##DIAG Send (##3424 Send) or ##DIAG# (##3424#) 3. Let windows install your new hardware. There will be two dialogs that come up. The first one should install after you click next. The next will require a file called qcmdmxp.sys and says it can't be found. As luck has it, your computer already has this file, and it's located here: C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\. Simply tell the wizard to look there, and it will show the file, click on it, and the installation will finish. 4. Install QPST if you haven't already. 5. Run the Service Programming program under the QPST start menu. 6. Double click on the little globe at the bottom right of your screen. 7. Click on Add New Port, and add COM4 - USB/QC DIAGNOSTIC. (might be another COM for some people) 8. Close the QPST Configuration window, and go back to the QPST Service Programming window. 9. Click on your phone, which should now be there, and then click OK. 10. Click on Read From Phone and then enter your SPC and click OK. 11. Goto the gpsOne tab (you'll have to scroll to the right) and enter these details: Code: Allowed = checked Assistanc-Spherical = checked PDE IP Address = 216.198.139.92 PDE Port Number = 8889 PDE Transport = IP Position Calculation = PDE12. SOFT RESET 13. Test GPS - I got 8 satellites in 1s It works for the Vogue, Titan and Diamond |

Re: Data on TELUS WM6.1 GPS roms
Ever since I upgraded the radio and to WM6.1 roms there is a logo on the top of my task bar that is a pyramid shape. This combined with in the no2chem roms it bugs me about being roaming, I think it thinks I am roaming?? I don't know why this is... It also does this with DCD's roms... and when i try to access the internet it tries dialing #777 and just times out. Incoming and outgoing calls work though, as does texting... any ideas as to what I can try or what is going on? I'm trying to reflash the 3.27 radio but it just gets to 9% and comes up with some invalid error....

Re: Data on TELUS WM6.1 GPS roms
I have the exact same issue. 9% and fails, phone reboots. Error is either 420 or 328.

Re: Data on TELUS WM6.1 GPS roms
Oh dear...it probably thinks its roaming if it shows that little triangle. Did you program with *22803? If not, you might want to do that. It's the Over-the-air provisioning number.

Re: Data on TELUS WM6.1 GPS roms
Okay, just tried that and it's doing the same thing.. said programming was successful though. When i originally flashed, I veriefied the ESN values were correct by dialing ##778# so that looks all good... any other suggestions... everything is set to roam. I've reflashed many times, always defaults to roaming..
