Re: new battery.dll for the titan

I installed the new 5048 ROM and it appears the driver does not work in conjunction with the HTC battery metter that shows the exact % above the icon.

My understanding is that you would need a new battery gauge. I know I found mine at XDA that had 1% increments.

Re: new battery.dll for the titan

For all contemplating just copying this dll over to your Windows directory, do not do it. Before building a custom ROM, I tried it to see what would happen. It copied fine, but my battery showed 0% and would not allow me to flash a ROM via ActiveSync since it thought I had 0% battery. I ended up flashing via the SD card method instead.

Can you please post a link? I searched and could not find one like I'm using with 1% increments. I'm using this one currently:

Re: new battery.dll for the titan

to everyone who is thinking of dropping this on their device via cab: it can't be done in its present state - from what I understand the dll needs to be signed, and I don't have any idea how to do it.

besides, installing to ROM is supposed to be faster, since it is a module. If you have an idea on how to sign it with the oem certificate, you're welcome to shoot...

If that's all it needs then I might be able to help when I get home from work. I have to sign exe's sometimes after hex editing for my Mogul to run them. I have a batch file setup to sign any file I want. I'll hit you up on chat after work if you haven't had anyone else try it before then.

Cabbed version here - Updated Installer

Here is a cabbed version I created from no2chem's excellent work. I have updated the installer to only require one file. The certificate cab is no longer needed as I figured out how to incorporate the cert directly in the single cab.

Install Instructions
1. Install no2chem 6800 Batttery Driver.cab
2. It will prompt you to reboot. After a reboot it should be working for you.

If you uninstall it will go back to the default driver.

NOTE: If you installed the previous version which required a 2 cab install then do not worry about updating to this. It is the same version but only requires a single cab to be installed.
Attached Files
File Type: zip no2chem 6800 Batttery Driver2.zip (20.3 KB, 2298 views) Click for barcode!

Re: new battery.dll for the titan

works fine for me. also works with vista hide battery. however my batt percentage just dropped from 86-84-81 in a span of about 20 seconds after unplugging. it seems steady now, but may have just been the program loading up and refreshing. other than that it looks like its alot more accurate and thanks once again for the great support from this community.

Re: new battery.dll for the titan

battery now at 76% (20 min later)and down from 81%) and phone has been in standby. Do you think the app is polling the battery to often? Is anyone with it installed on 5048 seeing decreased battery life?
