3.16 won't leave backlight off or stay suspended while charging

I've noticed that when my Mogul is plugged in to my computer via USB that the backlight will dim but never turn off. I use the same settings for turning off the backlight and suspending that I did in 2.17, but ever since flashing the 3.16 ROM it constantly pops out of suspend mode, too. I always turn off the radio at home since there's no cellular service there, so it's not a roaming issue. I'm not running any programs that didn't come in the stock beta ROM other than Google Maps, VisualGPSCE, and Holux GPS Viewer. I do a soft reset after turning off the radio and plugging in, so I'm pretty certain this is not due to a running program. I'd prefer not to burn out the backlight, but even if that's not an issue it just bugs me that I can't get this to work right. Any thoughts?

That is because Activesync is running, and its hooked to a computer. When it is hooked up to a charger, just push the power button on the side, and it will go into suspend.

mine is acting the same way. In 2.17 while Activesync was doing its thing, the screen would eventually turn off, same when plugged into a charger, sit there, then turn the screen off.

In 3.16 it just gets dim when plugged into anything.

Best I remember, mine has always done this, all the way back to 2.09. I work from home and my phone is always in its cradle and hooked up to the computer. The only time the screen goes blank is after I've shut down the computer for the night.
