How to remove certain things from NueRoms

How do I go about removing the "sprint ahead" splash screen in these roms and remove any sprint customizations which may exits. I cannot find anything except for the items in the OEMOPERATORS folder

The customizations for sprint are in OEMOPERATORS the rest are in OEMAPPS mixed in with the rest of the applications.

i believe you can just remove the startup animation

by going to
HKLM\Software\HTC\StartupAnimation\
change the key "Enabled" to 0

Out of the baskit I removed everything from the OEMOPERATORS folder as well as epst.epst and mxip_sprint_ppc_cert.provxml from OEMAPPS. I then used the carrier files from DogGuys's kitchen to add all the stuff for Verizon back in. That seems to have worked for me. The files in OEMOPERATORS are what sets up your phone with all of the specific carrier customization. If you just remove these files without replacing them with the ones for your carrier I your phone might not work properly.

i tried using dogguys kitchen maker with no2chem's newest rom and its giving me problems. I dont remember specifically but when i use buildOS it says there's a problem with boot.hv i think even without changing a thing or adding anything. Basically all i did was prepit.bat then use buildos then I get an error when its creating registries and the error is with boot.hv i think

Replace your ROM folder with the one from the basekit and you'll be good to go. For some reason, prepit.bat is truncating the boot.hv in some rom extractions. The basekit contains one that will work. Or you could just use the basekit instead of using prepit.bat Have fun!

Follow the directions in this post

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=18330\

then just copy only the carrier files you need out of the OEM folder in DogGuy's kitchen to the new one based on the post above.

Also if you put a the attached file in the OEMAPPS folder then you won't have the blank white startup screen. The filename should be welcomehead.96.png
