Please help with simple step for quantumforce1 first timers- an ez guide to upgrading

hello,

Guide has been great but I am kinda stumped on a certain step.

4. Run the Unofficial carrier released rom 3.16 (this has the radio also)
>>>Click here for Sprint unofficial 3.16 Release
>>>This has the correct radio as well --that is why I recommend going this route first
**Special Note: Do not be concerned if you hear and see your phone reboot
and disconnect from your computer. This will happen multiple times as it
loads the 3.16. This process can take about 10mins or so to complete.

I have the file downloaded and when I copy the file over and try to open it on my phone, I get the error access denied opening file.

Please help me on what I should do, this is really delaying my upgrade.

Thanks so much guys!

Are you running the EXE on your PC to extract the NHB file?
Are you then following the directions on the page that is linked to?

"Next format a microSD card with FAT 32 (required most are fat16 default) and copy the file TITAIMG.nbh to the root of the sd card with a card reader.

Finally place sdcard in device and reset into bootloader mode. The flash will proceed from the SD card and it should work fine. Enjoy!"

It is much easier to copy the file to the RUU directory on your PC and install over the USB cable.

Good luck.
