Problem with download link for First Timers - an easy guide to upgrading

Just wanted to state that quantumforce1 guide is FANTASTIC and I am very grateful of this. "First Timers - an easy guide to upgrading"

Only one problem, on step 7 he states:

7. Now you'll need to run a Rom Update Utility (RUU).
Some of the custom roms come as executables, so all you have to do is run them.
Others are just a single file that ends in .nbh. For those you will need a RUU.
>>> a. Click here to download an empty RUU
>>> b. Copy the .nbh file of your custom rom into the RUU folder
>>> c. Make sure there is only one .nbh file in the folder
>>> d. Double click RomUpdateUtility.exe to begin the update

When I go to click on the download it gives me an error downloading. I right clicked on the file and hit properties and the download link is: ftp://ppcgeeks:ezupload@up.ppcgeeks....n/roms/RUU.rar

Can someone please advise on what I can do to get this file? Im kinda lost and I searched around the ftp and dont know where to go.

I have the same problem; tried to use the updated link; I get to a ftp authentication request; the anonymous possbility does not release the security

I have it, its a rar file though and thats not something i can upload. So its zipped and rared.

Do you have to creat a RUU Folder...if not...where may I find it? Thanks

you don't have to call it RUU but you need one central location were all of the files are. then you just copy the .nbh file to that folder after properly naming it, and click on the updater exe. I have also written a guide for a first time flasher. if even after checking that out you still have issues, feel free to pm me.

Everytime I try to upgrade my phone i establish a connection with activesync, click update, I then lose my connection and everything goes to ****. Please help!!!
