I get lost because I can't find a "security" selection to view the info. Can anyone direct me?

I'm soooo excited about getting the GPS to work on the phone. RevA sounds awesome too! I guess it's still pretty risky business to modify the XV6800 (thanks to Verizon), right?

I found the answer. THANKS bakntyme!!!! =D> (please pay no attention to the man behind the curtain) :silent:

Aw man. I got the noob-blues.

I found out my MLSNumber but when I enter it (while in Edit) I get this:
"EPST: Check unlock code failed. Please input again."

I went back and double checked all of my numbers (i.e. ran the GETSPC.exe file again) but I'm inputing what it reads. I'm dead in the water. Can anyone please help?

I just tried a hard boot after looking over this entire thread again to see if someone else already addressed the problem. It seems that I'm the only one with this issue? I'm trying to get my security info but I'm locked out even with the MLSNumber? Did others just skip the security info step? I really wouldn't want to do that since it was deemed necessary in the first post. Can anyone help me out a little? Um, pretty please?

wow...now my phone's not working. "Cannot authenticate your phone."

Jeez, I'm digging myself a nice hole here and I haven't even done anything...yet.

Re: An Easy Guide to Upgrading

Well, I called Verizon. When the phone gets hard booted (XV6800) apparently it wipes out all of the information on the NAM Settings (from True MIN1 all the way to the bottom of the info screen) and replaces it with other numbers. I still have those other numbers listed but the phone works. I dunno. I guess I shouldn't change them since it's working but it doesn't match my original info (when the phone was working).

Oh yeah, and for anyone faced with problems entering the MLSNumber (in Edit mode) that the GETSPC.exe gives you...the number it spits out doesn't work for this Verizon phone. Verizon gave it to me. It is 000000.

Am I ready to try an upgrade now? My heart says "yes" but my mind says "WTF is wrong with you?!"

Wow...I checked out the security settings...What is that script? Wingding? How in the world can you input that if needed?

EDIT: Testing....Testing...Is this thing on? Can ya hear me in the back alright?

Everything worked for me. I am a pretty complete newb. Flashed to DCD rom. The device seems a bit snappier than before. I like.

had sprint mogul (less than 1 month old) with gps 3.xx rom installed already. I had the capability to install the threaded sms, the new flash + opera. Using windows xp

My searching at this late hour has resulted in little gain. I've only gotten as far as the tri-colored screen, at which point, I disconnect the USB, and reconnect. When I do, the XP machine finds a Qualcomm CDMA Technologies device, and is looking for drivers - which of course it can't find. Consequently, I can't proceed, since the RUU can't reach the phone. A reset of the device gets me back to stock OS.
On my computer it found the drivers automatically.

I have a new XV6800 (verizon). I was attempting to follow the instructions and failed towards the begining. I followed on the steps to write down ESN's and other stuff to include running the utility to get the six digit number. I then ran RUU_TITAN_SPRINT_WWE_3.35.651.2_RS_TITAN_3.35.04_4 350H_SPCS_AM_Ship.exe and it ran for a few minutes with some phone reboots and then errored out with: ERROR [294] : INVALID VENDER ID

The instructions in the first post of this thread are for upgrading a Sprint phone. For other carriers, you must install the Olipro 2.40 hard-SPL unlocked bootloader before running the RUU.exe. And since you have a Verizon phone, the six-digit number you need is 000000.
