3.16 ROM dropping EVDO - Possible correlation? - Page 2

I've just downgraded back to ALLTEL’s official WM6 rom because of the data trouble. The only Internet I have is through tethering, cheapest, fastest, connection around here. But with the 3.27 radio with DCD's rom it would give me the "remote party has ended the connection" error every 10-20 minutes with another rom that was based off the official sprint one except with Alltels stuff built in the signal would just go from 4 bars to nothing and the data would stop then a minute later it'd pick back up, I'd have to click on a link 2 or 3 times to get it to go.

i did the same thing went back to a custom 2.17 rom. just cant stand not having a reliable connection

I just upgraded to 3.16 this weekend and started having the hourly disconnect issue too. Been using my phone for months while streaming for hours without getting disconnected until I did this upgrade. Ive got a PPC-6800 through Sprint on thier SERO plan.

Questions are:

1. Did anyone find a fix for this while keeping 3.16?

2. Does reverting back to the old ROM fix this?

inquiring minds want to know!

I have been running the new beta ROM for over a month before I started experiencing problems last week. I changed my plan to the 99.99 plan and thats when the problems hit. I've spoken with what seems like every support person at Sprint an no one knows of the cause. I don't think that its a ROM problem either, its an f'in Sprint problem.
