3.16 ROM dropping EVDO - Possible correlation?

I just upgraded to 3.16 tonight, and have experienced my EVDO connection dropping every hour, on the hour, like clockwork. (3 times in a row so far..)

Background - I tether my Mogul to my XP desktop via USB. The selected connection is "Sprint PCS", not "Phone As Modem".

This got me thinking - Could there be a setting that I missed somewhere that is causing this annoying behavior?

FWIW, my Mogul isn't going to sleep when the connection drops, at least as far as I know - It just sits at the "My Info" screen w/ my name & address on it, very dimly lit, until something causes it to "perk up", such as an incoming call or text message, or the EVDO connection dropping. By perk up, I mean the screen goes to full brightness.

I didn't write it down, but I think that there was a message on the Mogul's screen each time the connection dropped, something about the remote party ending the connection, with a 'Dismiss' option.

Hopefully this bit of info will start some more informed members brainstorming!
