Help upgrading from stock ROM and RADIO to NEW ROM and RADIO

Hello,

I have the stock rom 2.17 and radio 1.47. I downloaded the newest hard-spl 2.40, I updated the hard-spl, then I tried upgrading to the 6.1 nuchem rom by putting the .nbh file in the sd card (it loaded the rom and installed it) but after installing the new rom it stayed stuck at the splash screen so i installed the originial rom again? Could someone please, please tell me what I am doing wrong?
