IS the file update and folder update issue resolved in this build?

Funny but I dont see 5042 in the FTP. The last one I see is 5040 updated on 2/5/08...

Nevermind... a simple "page refresh" on the ftp revealed all of the updated files...

Looks to be. I just installed, and checked by creating some new folders and they appear right away. I'm installing some programs now to see if the shortcuts appear without a soft reset.

Yep, it looks like it was fixed. I installed some apps, and they appear right away in the programs list without a restart.

I hate to question something though.....the version/build of remote desktop that you included, where did it come from? It appears to be exactly the same as the 6.0 build that I was using and had read that the 6.1 RDP client had a couple changes.

Looks like a great ROM from all reports, so thanks for your hard work, no2Chem. I am downloading it as I type.

Quick q: Is ExtROM truly unlocked, or just unhidden? If the former, that is AWESOME news, and hopefully the how-to knowledge will make its way into other ROMs and kitchens (with due credit to you, of course). Would love it if you could let me know.

BTW, IR works perfectly now too!!!!! Sweet, there are ALLOT of minor changes not noted in the change log. EVERYONE needs to upgrade to 5042!!!!

I just installed this rom and everything works except I can not make any calls. It tells me my phone is not yet activated...any suggestions?

You know, I had the same problem with poutlook saving to my storage card and the ExtROM being unhidden.

Maybe because it is only unhidden and not truely unlocked, we should leave this reg key as it was before so people don't have the error on the mail attachments...

I think that's a good idea. Most people don't need to have the extrom unlocked anyway.
