No EV or 1X in mine.

I just flashed this phone with your ROM, I was using DCD 2.2.4, but after so many problems I decided to just try yours. I see the two arrows and the sprint antenna symbol as well as the speakers symbol, but there is no "EV" no more, did you make any changes to 5044 last night, I download this room around 11AM EST yesterday February 9 , 2008. Any idea why "EV" is not showing?

well still having the same problem even without installing resco file explorer im started to get stressed since it doesnt do this till i get all the apps installed . i was hoping it was resco but it is still doing it without it installed. grrrrrrrrrrrr. i dont understand what would be causing it ot freeze after every soft reset causing a hard reset to be done and than having it loop over and over agaon. i guess i will jsut go back to the stock 3.16 rom for the time being till this gets figured out.

Is anyone still having the phone drops from EV to 1X problem? I think I have come up with a solution: Perform an RTN reset and reprovision your phone. RTN reset is a hard reset that also clears out all provisioning data. Note, in order to do this, you need to know your MSL and MSID (for sprint, I'm not sure what you need for other carriers) or you will need to call your carrier and ask them to walk you through reprogramming your phone. Also note, this is a hard reset, so backup data first.

1.) Go to dialer and type in ##786#
2.) Go to menu->reset and confirm the reset
Once reset is done, call carrier and have them walk you through reprogramming then skip to step 7, or if you know MSL and MSID continue to step 3.
3.) Go to dialer and type ##[Your six digit MSL]#
4.) Tap edit
5.) Enter in you MDN (your 10 digit phone number) and your MSID (sometimes your phone number but not always; need from sprint)
6.) Go to menu->done and phone will reset
7.) Make phone calls to make sure it is working.
8.) Run IOTA and make sure data is working

I have resco install with the plugin..I haven't a single issue.No2chem. good job.

Just a very minor request so we don't have to do it everytime we reload an updated ROM of yours:

11-Camera Flip Pictures Fix

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Camera\Image

Change "EnableEncodePortrait" to 0

When you take a picture it is saved in the wrong configuration and you then have to rotate
it with a picture editor so its not sideways and save it again. This is the fix for it.

Well i found something interesting with my lockup issue. This might have been brought up before but i could not find it doing a search.

If i put any links in \Windows\Start Menu that point to my Storage Card then the phone will lock up. If the icons reside in \Windows\Start Menu\Programs then everything is fine. I suppose this has to do with showing them in the "frequently used" portion of the menu. Anyone else see this?

I have had the same issue. I run IGuidance off of the storage card with a shortcut in the Start Menu. Every reboot it will lock if the card is inserted. Remove the card before reboot and everything will be ok.

I am seeing the samething. Everything works great untill you need to reboot with the storage card in. It is like the sd drivers are loading late. anyone know how to change the "service" boot order? memmaid will not let you chang it.

how do you use the basekit to make your own rom? I have searched and tried numerous times but when I load to phone it just sits on the boot screen

like most of you i have i have had the same problem with the freezing...so i have found the exact problem/fix..here it is...i installed everyporgram one by one of mine and soft reseted and let it run for a few 5 minutes and then installed another,, once everything was installed there still was no problem with the freezing..i got happy...not...i started to customize and then i finally got to my hhc homescreen customizer and downloaded the clocks etc.. (btw soft reset inbetween every customization to check for the freezing problem) then i got to the options page of my htc home customizer and canged the celsius setting for weather to farinhight and clicked the show time on title bars (or somethign like that) and then it required me to do a soft reset so i clicked yes next thing i know my phone is frozen....to wrap this up cause its getting lengthy dont screw wit the option in htc home cust cuase you will freeze your phone lol ...... let me know if this helps anyone

I see some posts about folks not getting their GPS to work with this ROM. You will have to run a cab from the extended rom in order to get it to work. There are a few roms in there that i am not 100% sure what they do but i installed them just in case. I will list the unknowns and hopefully someone can chime in.

IOTA_1128.cab (this one i know, needed for iota to work)

MoveLnk.sa.cab
signed_070823_7500_SPCS_1.33_PRL60610.sa.cab (this one looks to be a PRL only update, but at 636K it seems to large to only contain that)
sprint-navigation-htc-mogulmr_21.cab (i don't know if this one has the GPS drives along with sprint navigator)

Any thoughts?

i just flashed my phone with this new rom and i cannot get it to work.
it flashed and said all was fine and I did a hard reset and it comes up with the windows mobile 6.1 screeen and asks for screen alignment and than it aits like 3 seconds and than reboots. it does not let me do the alignment,

Yes, but you will see Sprint in a few areas and no MMS.

Oh ok...I will pass on it then. I love everything in the Nexvision's ROM over at XDA, but nothing has really been updated on it since DCD 2.2.0

I love the Vista Cube in it and having resco pre-loaded....as well as everything else...I just want it to be more stable.

FallingAngel's was the best so far in my opinion but he has had some major issues in his opinion with the 6.1 ROM and I am just looking for a great option

I got an error - I think it was #262 - that stated it was looking for a readme txt file in the RUU folder but it did not exist. It did this at 0% so my phone is back to normal.
1 - How do I fix this?
2 - And is it ok to leave my phone "unlocked" until I do the update?

I am on 3.16 on Sprint Mogul.

anyway to get the .jpg file extension to be recognized by some type of viewer? I cant get it to open any pictures unless i use htc photo app.

I figured i didn't have to run anything however i tried and tried to get the gps to work to no avail. Then right when i ran the sprint-navigation cab the gps worked. So i figured it needed to be run.

no2chem, the 5044 basekit is missing the welcomehead96. Not a big deal, but it might scare some people when the screen comes up gray for about a minute on the first boot.

is it me or getting the gps signal is a lot faster now?
i even get the signal while lying in bed because i need to know im on the correct side ofr the bed, hehe don't ask

Yes it seems so. But I always get signal in my bed for some reason...

Please tell me, why do you need to know which side you're on?

i have disabled it and everything still works, no answer from google yet

HAHAHA thats pretty funny! I'm not sure exactly what gpsdaemonservice does, but I have a crazy feeling it has something to do with broadcasting your location when 911 is dialed.

The Storage Card issue seems to still exist. I just loaded up a kitchen with 5044, which included registry setting OEMs to set the location of temporary Internet files and other items to the Storage Card. When I opened PIE, it would load about 10% and lock up the whole device. When I built again without those OEMs, PIE works fine.

Ok, I need some help. I'm trying to cook my own ROM using the basekit, but I'm stuck. What do I do after I extract the basekit?

I was still having the card issue before. Are you using Memmaid or a reg tweak that moves file to your storage card?

I was using reg tweak OEMs from the Packages directory of Alex.Kaiser.v4.OEM.Packages.rar.

any idea when 45 drops? waiting patiently for my next fix.....

You might want to try it without the tweaks that move file to the storage card (ie: pie history, cookies... or your pocket outlook mail) This has worked for me. Still playing around with settings.

I've read tons of the last few pages and can't find anything about 5044 and GPS issues. The flash went great and having no problems, but Google Maps just sits on "looking for satellites" for 5+ minutes everytime until I give up. I've done this at home, in the car, etc. Am I the only one who is having this issue?

its mixed....My gps in sprint nav and google maps works flawless.I get location in like 10 to 20 seconds.

awesome job no2chem... i haven't installed newest version you released, but seriously.. i love the cleanliness of the rom.. so we can customize however we want.. keep it up and keep releasing improvements!

Hey I love the rom so far. But my roaming is no longer working. The roaming triangle shows up but when trying to make a call after two rings i get some kind of error. Anyone else having this problem? Any solution? I did some searching but there are over 80 pages in this thread so if it has been mentioned before i apologize.

5045 up, some fixes with bluetooth and sd card.

What bluetooth fixes, if you don't mind saying. I just finished loading 5044 and am not ready to do another one yet ;)

it uses a newer bluetooth stack, not sure what it fixes exactly.
