My gps worked great, make sure your in a open area and give it 3-5 mins the first time you do it. Sometimes I get a lock in 30 secs sometimes it takes up to 1:30 to start.

I ask because I remember seeing a post that this may be just an error.

I sure would love to be able to keep track of all the VERIZON nbh files (and ROMs) out there but I get sleepy just looking for them all! Can anyone help me get on track? Is there a simple way of using No2Chem's builds for VERIZON?

I've posted asking this before but havn't gotten any answers. Sure would like some help!

Thanks

That is the 5051 rom, I just says its 5050 don't worry about it. I do know that no2chem builds are for sprint. Since I have only sprint I haven't been looking for a Verizon source but im sure that most of the stuff you find will be based on no2chem or dcd roms and redone for Verizon. Good luck bro

My data connection is permanently turned on unless I turn it off in the comm manager. All programs are turned off and it's not checking for e-mail.

Let the blonde jokes begin!

anyway, try using this registry fix to disconnect easily until you find out what is keeping the connection open. You will need a registry editor (attached) and some caution to make sure you do everything to the letter. registry changes are easy but can mess up your device. If you are unsure when trying just exit without saving and seek help here.

This edit allows you to see the duration of your Vision connection along with a button to disconnect it.
You see it in the bubble that is displayed when you tap the Vision icon on the top taskbar (the evdo (or 1x)box).

Click HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
Click ControlPanel
Click Phone
Click the bottom menu 'edit'
Select new dword value
Change the value name to "Flags2" (no quotes).
Select the 'hexidecimal' button.
Type 10
Click ok.
You should now see in the 'name/data' section:
Flags2 16 (0x00010)
exit regedit

When done, wait a full minute, then soft-reset the device.

Good Luck!

I have reinstalled 5051 2 more times and I have gone back to 5049 and the installs seem to work perfectly BUT I no longer have access to my 4gb storage card. I have soft reset, hard reset, pulled the battery, and banged it on the top of my head many times and still no storage card. I can view the files on the card from my laptop and the card is formated fat 32, and I am using two different cards! Is anyone else having this problem or know what the fix is?

Fatboy,

I remember reading somewhere that you have to install a patch or program that allows an SD card greater than 2GB's to be read. I hope that this helps.

I found out why it takes soooooo long to answer calls. (having to press answer 3 or 4 times) It has to do with the fact that evdo stays on. If it is disconnected you can answer right away. Hope that this helps for a fix.
