The 2MB page pool killed it for me. I don't have enough resources to load TouchPal and the Stowaway keyboard driver. Some nice innovations, though.

IMHO, I think this ROM is probably done at 5049. It has the perfect balance of being barebones enough to offer great performance, but at the same time keeping all of the items we REALLY need. This is by FAR the best ROM out there, don't ruin it by thinking that you need to add more! :) You have done an incredible job no2chem!

Once again I love 5050 I don't know why other people are having problems with the speed and what not. I also like the advanced tools section although msdos does not seem to be working.

I agree. Just fix the massive lag speed issues with 5050 and it's just fine...

Fully agree. Its not like its his job...more his passion...he doesn't have to provide any roms. After all it does say its a beta in the first post...which means their will always be bugs...I'm personally still on 48 with the battery & led 1.5 cabs rolling it to 49....no2chem you do great work bro....let the haters hate...

Alright, I just flashed 5050 and i am stuck at the HTC screen, the one without the red writing. I took the batt out and waited about 2 min, and then hard reset. Ive done that about 4 times and re flashed once. Still nothing.

**UPDATE**
Just updated the radio and that seemed to fix my problem.

Saw this at about page 120 or so, but couldn't find a reply...

I just did my first custom flash to 48 (yay! thanks no2chem!) and my bluetooth is intermittent....keeps dropping and going to the handset, then back to the headphone/handsfree...anybody have a solution to this??

Also, probably a N00b question answered a hundred times....I see the UT method to re-install all programs...but is there an easy way to reload customizations such as email servers, slingbox configs, etc.? I could see myself becoming a chronic re-flasher if the cleanup work wasn't so tedious....

Thanks!!!

This ROM is definitely slower but it seems to be stable so far. I'm running SPB Mobile Shell 2.0 (love it) and there is about 2x the lag as there was on NexVision's Sprint alpha number 2. For example, when I turn the phone on to get it out of standby, it takes about 3 seconds before the screen comes back on. But hey, it still wakes up and I've got 15MB of free RAM versus 11 running the same programs between the ROMs.
