Sorry that this is likely a noob question.

I did the upgrade steps for a custom rom that is listed in the sticky so I believe my phone is still unlocked if you just followed those steps.

If I want to upgrade to the latest ROM build I have a few questions:

A) Will I lose all my data again?
B) Do I need to change of any of the bootloader / locking / relocking etc?
C) Do I just grab the RUU again and load the new nbh file?

i just upgraded from 5048 to 5050.... it just stays frozen at the 2nd flash screen.. unless im not waiting long enough. It stays like that its been 8 minutes. I downgraded back to 5048 and it works fine. Is there anything wrong with 5050?

i both soft and hard reseted, now i am stuck in the first flash screen, and cant connect to downgrade..

pulled off the battery for a few, re booted, its starting up now, looks to be okay.

Hold down the camera and power button while pressing in the reset button. Continue to hold the camera and power button until the rainbow screen comes up.

From that screen, you can reflash.

I have found that if you have issues where your device seems to be bricked and stuck in bootloader before completion of the update you can fix it by flashing via SD card.

To do this there are 3 steps:

First take the .exe file and open it with winrar. There will be a file 3.16.....nbh extract that and rename it to TITAIMG.nbh

Next format a microSD card with FAT 32 (required most are fat16 default) and copy the file TITAIMG.nbh to the root of the sd card with a card reader.

Finally place sdcard in device and reset into bootloader mode. The flash will proceed from the SD card and it should work fine. Enjoy!

bottom soft buttons + soft reset. looks like everyone will have to hard reset after flashing in order to force a NAND format.

I am still stuck at the HTC screen after the red text disappeared. I flashed 5050 and did a hard reset and still a no go.

okay i hard resseted, its still the same issue. Yes i did it properly, it asked me to press R then spacebar. I am still stuck on the 2nd flash screen.
