I also have seen that my program memory will gradually run down even with no prgrams open. It's the first time I've dealt with it on any rom I've tried. BT is good and much louder with the Jawbone. GPS works great as long as I prime it with google maps. I have used live search and sprint navigation. Both worked great. I can't wait to see what the real rom release will be like... Oh yeah, thanks for saving me some cash XIII. Anyone else experienced/ found a solution for the usb audio or lack thereof? |

Flash went fine for me -- it hung up and restarted a few times at 11% but I just let it run, and eventually it finished all by itself.
This ROM took much longer to flash than previous ROMs did. As others have said: Be patient. I was flashing from 2.17 and used the new ROM version with the missing "e" (you must rename from .ex to .exe and it will run). ... Also, I did NOT interrupt the Sprint bloatware loading. ... Flashing from desktop w/ XP Pro. GPS works great! So far it seems more accurate and sensitive than I had expected. Wow. ... iGuidance opens up and connects right away to GPS with 5/7 satellites, sometimes up to 7/7, and that's indoors at my desk (a few feet from a window). I have the GPS settings set to let Windows auto-manage, and changed settings in iG to COM 4 and 9600 baud. Google Maps -- same deal, and works fine. ... Again, I don't have to launch Live Search or anything to initiate GPS connection -- iG now finds it and connects in a heartbeat. I did NOT have to mess with any MSL/MSID/MDN-related settings. At first, it told me that it could not connect to PowerVision yadda-yadda, but then I just soft-reset and launched PIE again, and the device ran IOTA update all by itself. Data and phone work fine without changing any of those settings manually. ... Similarly, it seemed that to get the GPS working I needed to run the Sprint Nav program trial and it installs needed GPS components, then other programs have no problem using the GPS. Rev. A seems to be working, but speeds are quite variable. Sometimes over 900 download, sometimes under 400 download. Active Sync works fine still. Anyone who's having trouble with that, try deleting your old partnership(s). Regarding the GPS vs. aGPS issue, I soft-reset with the Mogul in flight mode, and I'm getting 7/8 satellites. Not sure if that proves anything though. |

Pleased as punch :)
Yeah same as veblen64 I had a few problems at the beginning but it all worked out. I didn't have to do anything with my MDN or MSID. GPS works great and I didn't have to do a thing to get it working with Google Maps, Live Search and NAV4ALL. I do wish the GPS was a bit stronger as it can't be read in my office and I know that the SiRFStar III GPS units do get connection as my boss has one. I haven't tested data speeds yet and I don't have a BT headset yet to test with it. So I'll have to get back to you all on how that works out.

EPST Unlock Code not working!
Hello all,
Although this is my first post I am quite familiar with the workings of the 6800. I have run into an interesting problem after updating the ROM. I cannot edit any of the settings in the EPST menu (##778#) becasue it's not accepting my MSL. Initially I changed the default MSL to 123456, but this got reset back to the default after the update. I can access and edit settings via QPST so no big issue. The phone still works. Nonetheless this one has got me quite puzzled. As the for gpsOne. It doesn't work for me, but then I live on a pacific island where I'm assuming now the network doesnt support aGPS. Does the GPS function only work in mainland US? Has anyone else run into this problem with the EPST menu? Thanks for any help. Ben |
