Oh well. I just did about 25 searches at least on audiopara, globablly and in various threads and I did not find any new files posted. There is a thread about the problem but it only suggests editing the new rom manually, a perfectly reasonable suggestion but I will probably hope that a nice one gets posted by someone who has already figured out good settings.

At least though the problem is confirmed, so I fell better.

Smile Non Expert who did the update to 3.16

Well, bit the biscuit and tried the update, all worked. Here are my step by step instructions for other noobs.

Hard Reset to 2.17 rom This means from Settings - Clear Storage - enter 1234

USB pluged in, launched the rom utility. Followed instructions on PC

Walked away from computer returned 20 minutes later.

Allowed Sprint Customizations to run.

Hard Reset as above.

Soft Reset when Sprint Customizations began.

Used Activesync to restore Calendar, Contacts, etc. All went well

Paired my Motorola H700 - Works great

Loaded Google Maps - GPS works like a charm - Took a while

Reinstalled Voicecommand 1.6 - Works

Loaded all my other programs Weatherpanel, Advanced Config, Pocket Sports, Total Commader, S2U2. No problems yet.

Good Luck,

Mobo

New to thread - also upgraded sucessfully to 3.16

I read this whole thread, and since I wanted GPS to work, I took the chance.
Had the phone 1 month, and went for it. Less than 15 min. It did stop and restart at 11%. Let the program and sprint update do all the work. Everything works well.
Now I wish I could understand you guys on how you change the appearance of the screen. Seen some nice usefull ones, but you lose me as soon as you mention this tool and that registry change. I don't know if the tools are on the phone or PC, or if you make all the changes on the PC then upload the new look???????

Can anyone tell me where a good discussion on this subject is located??
thanks all of you that explained this update!!
