new rom works great, except for data

ok so i travel alot between baltiomore and sc. after the new rom i have noticed that my data connection is not at all like it was. i lose connection alot, and when im tethering, its even worse. i get this message "the remote party has ended this connection" and i have to reset ie to get back on track. is there a way to fix this problem, as this is the only problem i have. tia! ](*,)

The problem seems to be bigger than that. it seems like i am on a verison network with a sprint phone. every time i am out of range with a call a verison message comes on and now there isno internet at all. I called sprint but they didn't know what the problem was.

YOU did use the correct rom? Add the missing "E" version. Mine is working great and not misbehaving like that.

anyone know why i get error 262 when trying to upgrade from 3.16 to dcds rom?

sprinttechy 02-02-2008 02:11 PM

Sprint Mogul currently running 2.17.
I would like a ROM like dcd's but with all the goodies aside from the sprint software store/ music store/ IE favorites etc.
Also a plus if it included some programs I use like:
Mem maid
Warefare Inc.
Arcsoft MMS
Today Agenda
Card Export 2
Livesearch
TCMP
Total Commander
WMWifirouter <<I love this
Adobe/Acrobat reader
Flash 7
AIM
MS Voice Command
I don't care for the Get Good , Windows Live, Java, Messenger, On Demand, Voice speed dial.

Can anyone give me a n00b rundown on exactly what I need to do?

On my old 6700 i never had any of the sprint software installed. I just recently got the 6800 and flash to 3.16.651.0 but was wondering is there anything that is required to make gps or anything work? I would really like to free up some room for programs that i would actually want to use.

If you have the leaked ROM flashed to your device then Google Maps should enable the GPS program. Note: If you read through this thread you will see that the GPS activation varies from DEvice to device and Software to software, but in general the GPS works. I sugest starting with google maps then read through the thread and find out what works for other people. Also when you first try GPS on Google Maps do it outside and give about 5 10 minutes for the GPS to connect to satlelites. Once you get it to connect initially it generally works like a charm base on my experiences and what I have read so far. Good luck.

I guess my post was misleading. My gps works wonderfully. I was just wondering what sprint software can i get rid of. Sorry for the miscommunication.
JustusIV

*EDIT*
Basically all the crap they install after a hardreset.

Do a soft reset when you see the "rebooting in 3 seconds" message and none of the extra crap from your extended ROM will install.
