Re: Overclocking the Mogul/Titan 6800

I would love to have some kind of overclocking utility for the 6800. I feel this would help the phone feeling slugish sometimes..

Re: Overclocking the Mogul/Titan 6800

my phone always feels slugish , I think if the phone had more power , it would be the perfect device.

the size is good, the battery is ok , and if I needed to get an extended I would .
the keybard and funtions are nice , but the damn phone is tooo slow, the 6700 was extremley slow as well until the upgrade of the overclockking of the processor,

Re: Overclocking the Mogul/Titan 6800

I never found overclocking the 6700, even to 624MHz, to provide any real significant speed boost... Benchmarks are great but its reality that matters... in reality, all it did was make my phone hot and cut my battery life.

and if it had video drivers it would also be an improvement.

Re: Overclocking the Mogul/Titan 6800

First the HTC performance (placebo) did nothing in performance for the 6700 in any benchmarks using multiple programs to test including PHM, TCPMP, SKtools. I guess it could make you think the apps were more responsive?

With the Intel xscale cpu in the 6700 you can use many xscale overclockers my 2 favorites were cpuxscaler and pocket hack master. With my 2 6700's I was able to get over 650Mhz and the first one was able to hit bus speeds over 250Mhz until the audio went out on it... But overclocking killed my battery so I had 2 standard batts, one 1500mah slim li-po, and a 2600 extended lying around to swap all the time and found it to be more of a pain than functional. The real bottleneck in the 6700 was the poor memory and memory bus it used. My 6600 was much more responsive because of the blue angels memory.

As for the battery life of the 6800 to the poster who said it is worse than the 6700 you have defective battery or don't have a clue. The battery life on the 6800 is 2x better.

For overclocking the QUALCOMM cpu in the 6800 we have nothing so far. Pocket Hack Master is at least stated they are working on adding support for them but as of right now v4.32 there is none. Now that they have a functional WM6 version hopfully they can devote some more time to supporting new cpu's.
