Had problems with all ROMS other than this (Yet)

I first unlocked and tried the Sampsons WM5 Rom. Worked perfectly other than an inability to see my 6GB Micro SD (If that is not an issue, and A2DP not a deal breaker then WM5 is faster, more memory caring and an excellent choice).

Then I went back to WM6 with DCDs clean ROM. Multiple out of memory problems and issues. Voice Command worked but I ended up with a Notification glitch where each appointment would trigger upto 300+ notification reminders when they were due and the phone would crash. At first I thought it was a Pocket Informant glitch but now I am not so sure. I did use WEBIS Toolbox to reload the appointments and that may have done something. Although new entries seemed to cause the same notification problem.

My other suspicion was that Voice Command 1.6 did something to the registry and messed up the notification settings.

No2Chems Roms so far worked this AM without the same error (but without loading VC 1.6). Any thoughts about whether I should try VC again or wait until a proper WM6 version comes out ?

You can always load it up and give it a shot. Just make sure you have your PIM and other necessary data backed up so you can do a restore if it starts acting up.

If there are tweaks that can be done to the device to make it speedier, why are they not applied to the rom?

And Steps, what tweaks did you do?

Thanks

For us Sprint users, the Animated Splash screen is a must! (well at least for this Sprint user)

I can't speak for no2chem but I'd image its due to stability issues and keeping the ROM as simple as possible without any customizations...this is left on the end-user entirely.

I did the install and am finding this much more stable and speedier than dcds. With all this mention of the 1.47 radio I looked and see I have the 1.32. Can someone explain the differences between the various versions and what advantages (drawbacks) there are to upgrading to them? Also, where I can download the 1.47 radio?

Thanks!

Radio 1.47 is inside the 2.16 ROM update by Sprint. I am not sure if it has been seperated as a Radio Only upgrade by anyone since a lot of people don't seem to like 1.47...people prefer 1.40. I on the other hand have always used 1.47 and had no issues with it.

As far as what a Radio ROM is suppose to do, I am not really sure. As far I know, I thought it was "suppose" to improve signal/reception in certain areas...maybe some one else can provide more feedback.

Thanks for the update. Do you know where the 1.40 can be found?

wayyyy slow

Ok all,

I just flashed to 'nueRom v0.35 build 3593 BETA' and now have a verrry slow device. The flash operation itself worked but the device is crawling along (for example, I click *any* icon and it takes 5 - 10 seconds for anything to happen). I have radio ver 1.32 installed... could this be the issue? If so, how do I upgrade the radio? I've downloaded the 1.40 radio from a post or two before this one... but am unsure if I can just run the RUU as-is and it'll upgrade the radio seamlessly. Or do I need to flash my phone back to an OEM rom before upgrading the radio? Any insight is appreciated...

Maybe this 'slowness' isn't even the radio??? If not... any ideas here?

Thanks!
