sampson's clean wm5 rom for titan - Page 17

Does anyone know where I might find Sampson's WM5 Rom Revision 01? Revision 00 is still at ftp://up.ppcgeeks.com/etc... but Revision 01 is missing. If anyone knows an alternate location I would appreciate a link. I decided that if the new rom 10 Mar 08 is still a pig I'm going to revert my mogle to WM5.

One more thought, if there is a more current WM5 rom a link to that would be greatly appreciated as well.

yet another request to know if its possible to put this on the phone with the newer radio. I tried it now I'm stuck at a black screen.

Nope, only 3.35 based roms will work with the 3.35 radio.

uh oh, black screen? Thats where my titan is (download mode), if mine gets fixed there will be a sticky for the steps. Do you have TEP?

I tried the same on mine several weeks ago.. hung at a black screen when trying to boot.. but I was able to get it back into bootloader and reflashed with a rom compatible with the gps radio. but i honestly didn't doing anything special to get it back.

Did you try copying over the updated drivers from the 3.35 rom? I wan to try doing that but I haven't had the time. I figure since it is possible to go from rom 6.0 to 6.1. It should be possible to go from 6.0 to 5.0 as long as all the necessary drivers (the ones that talk to the new radio) are used as well.

If I ever get the time I am going to try this. My biggest problem with the phone is the lack of program memory (I open a lot of tabs in Opera mobile when I'm surfing) and this will significantly help the problem.
